Seaside Notions Thinking of You Card

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a super cute little card for you using the Seaside Notions Stamp Set which is perfect for a fun little beachy card.  I created a thinking of you card today because I was running low on them and wanted to build up my stash of cards.  This card was featured in my July Monthly Card Class.  Each month I offer a online card class featuring a new stamp set or bundle.  You can pay to come or you can earn your spot for free with a $35 purchase using my monthly host code before the cut off date.  Here's a look at my card.

Tips & Tricks:

This is a easy card actually to create once you get all the pieces lined up correctly.  That was the longest part about creating this card.  Each section has less than an 1/8" between them and it looks funny if they are off even the slightest little bit.  So, take your time here to get them in the right position.  I took three pieces of different color cardstock and cut them all to size.  And embossed them all at the same time using the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder.  I then placed them onto a piece of Seaside Spray Cardstock which was then added to the Thick Whisper White Card front.

I used the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch for my sentiment.  I stamped the shell image from the Seaside Notions Stamp Set in Seaside Spray Ink and then Stamped my Sentiment in Basic Gray(I think is the ink on the sentiment).  I then punched it out with my new favorite punch and added it to the front of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

You can see above all the dimension that the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder left.  Again I found it easier to run all the pieces at the same time all lined up for a seamless transition from panel to panel.

Project Recipe:

Here's a little image I've created for you to be able to pin it to your Pinterest boards to remember the main items used in today's card.  You can check out all my Project Recipes on my Project Recipe Board by clicking here.

Nothing Better Than Cocktails Card Video Tutorial

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a super cute card that I made using the Nothing Better Than Stamp Set.  I made this card because you know sometimes adulting is hard!  This is a card that you could send to a friend that is going through a tough time right now and I am sure that we all know someone during the pandemic that feels this way, that just might need a little pick me up.  So, this would be a great card to send to them.  Here's a look at the card.

Tips & Tricks:

I took the 4 x 5 1/4" piece of Coastal Cabana Cardstock and embossed it with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder before placing it on Stampin' Dimensionals onto my 4 1/4 x 11" piece of Coastal Cabana that I scored at 5 1/2" to make my card base.  But before attaching it I wrapped some of the Coastal Cabana Ribbon from the Playing with Pattern Ribbon Combo Pack around it and tied the ribbon into a flat knot.

For my focal image I stamped the outline of the cocktail in the middle of my 3" x 4" piece of Whisper White Cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  To add the two tone color to the center of the cocktail it works better if you use a couple Sponge Daubers.  You want to use the Sponge Daubers to apply your two different color inks to the stamp.  I used Coastal Cabana Classic Ink and Highland Heather Classic Ink for mine today.  You could use any color you wanted to go with your card.  But by using the Sponge Daubers you are applying less ink but you are also able to layer the inks together with a seamless blend.

July Paper Pumpkin Summer Nights Alternative Projects

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am here to take part in the July A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop with two alternative projects using the July 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit Summer Nights.  For my two alternative projects today I used some items from this month's kit and some additional cardstock.  Here's a look at my card alternative project.

For my alternative card I took one of the post cards that came in this month's kit and stamped the Firework/starburst image three times on the card front.  I then added some Terracotta Tile Ribbon from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack around the card and tied it in a flat knot.  I placed my card front onto a Blackberry Bliss card base that was cut at 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/4".

I stamped my sentiment on to one of the labels from the kit, and added it to the card front with a few Stampin' Dimensionals.  I finished off my card with a few of the star embellishments from the kit and a couple of the die cuts.

For my 3D project this month I created a little shadow box to showcase the stamped sentiment "oh the Summer Nights are all alight with everything Magic and Bright".  I thought this was such a beautiful sentiment stamp that it needed a little attention.  So, what better way to do that than to put it in a little shadow box.  The shadow box was made from a piece of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock that I cut at 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" then I did a little scoring cutting and folding to make the frame.  I added one of the postcards from the kit cut down to 4" x 4"; on to which I stamped the same fireworks/starburst image from the stamp set.  Once I glued the frame together I added some of the same ribbon I used on my card and did a little embellishing with elements from the Summer Nights Paper Pumpkin Kit to finish it off.  I would display this on one the little easels you can get.  I actually just purchased one the other day just for this project and when I went to take my pictures I could not find it to save my life.

If you haven't seen the what this month's kit was designed to make here's a picture from Stampin' Up! of the intended projects.

Here's a little sneak peek at next month's kit as well with a little video from Paper Pumpkin.  If you are viewing this post by email you may have to click here to view the sneak peek video.
