Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a super cute quick and simple card for you using the Silhouette Scenes Bundle from the 2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. This card was inspired by a color challenge given to demonstrators this week to help inspire not only us but you as well to be stamping. I love a good color challenge, and when it uses one of my favorite colors I am all in. The Silhouette Scenes bundle has been one of my favorites since last April when I saw it at OnStage in Charlotte, but I had not ordered it until recently. I don't know why it took me so long to order this fun stamp and die set. Do you ever do that? You love something so much but either don't order it or you forget about it. I am so glad I ordered this last week and had a play with it for the card I created for you today. Here's a look at the card.

Silhouette Scenes Adventure Card Video Tutorial
I started my card by cutting all the cardstock to size. I used a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock for my card base cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4". I cut a piece of Basic Gray Cardstock to 3 3/4" x 5" and embossed it using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. I then cut a piece of Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz, and Pumpkin Pie Cardstocks to 1 3/8" x 3". I used one additional piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" whisper white cardstock and the adventure die from the Sweet Silhouette Dies and cut it out four times and stacked it together to make a thicker word sentiment.
I then added the embossed basic gray layer to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I picked this adhesive for my card because I needed something that was strong and would attach to the embossing of the basic gray layer. I then took the three pieces of Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz, and Pumpkin Pie cardstocks and using the same matching ink colors for each piece of cardstock stamped one of the kids silhouette images from the stamp set onto each piece. I tried to make sure that each silhouette was relatively in the same place.
I then added each stamped panel to the card front starting in the middle with the Pear Pizzazz layer. Then I added the two additional layers to the side making sure to give the same amount of space around each. I then layered up four of the adventure word die cuts with liquid glue and added it to the front of the card. I then stamped the sentiment on the inside of the card in Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink.
The Silhouette Scenes Stamp Set features beautiful silhouettes that symbolize love and adventure and sentiments to inspire your loved ones. I thought that the silhouettes of the kids just told a story of adventure and inspiration no matter what age the person is that receives this card is. I love the fact that they are either pointing toward the sky (future), looking for something or playing with a toy play just told a story and spoke to me. Then when paired with the sentiment on the inside just made it a darn good card to send out to a few friends right now.

I got the inspiration for today's card from two different places. As I mentioned before Stampin' Up! has been posting a different challenge each week to help give us inspiration during the pandemic to help us to stay inspired. And I have been sharing those challenges with my team and stamping friends on my Facebook page, Stamping Group, and Team Group pages to help keep them inspired. That was where the choices for my colors came from today.
The inspiration for this card design came from a group that I am in called Casing Tuesday Sketches. I thought this was just a fun little sketch that just lead itself to so many different options. I also learned yesterday that one of the founding members of the group passed away recently and was so thrilled that so many people had taken part and shared the sketches they pulled from cards from the Stampin' Up! Catalogs. You can see in the images below that they give you the measurements for the cards and tell you the page number and catalog the sketch was inspired from.
I hope that you have enjoyed today's card and that you will have a fun time playing and being inspired with both the sketch and color challenge. If you live in the US. Positive Thoughts The Spot Color Challenge #106
Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you the card that I made for this week's color challenge over at The Spot. The color challenge this month features Petal Pink, Gray Granite and at least one or more metallic Color. I chose to use copper as my metallic, and I used the Positive Thoughts stamp set from the January-June Mini Catalog on my card today. I did a fun little technique that's been around for a while on my card. I used the triple stamping technique to create a fun and actually quick card. Here's a look at my card.
Here's the challenge image that inspired today's card. You can click on the image below to check out what the other design team members created and play along with us this week.
Tips & Tricks:
The triple stamping technique is really quite easy. All you have to do is have three pieces of cardstock that are cut two sizes smaller than the base layer. You want to leave room for the three mats that you are going to add. Add a little removable adhesive to the cardstock and stack them all up at one time. Stamp the images you are going to use. In my case I stamped all the images from the Positive Thoughts stamp set in Versamark ink and then covered them all in Copper Stampin' Embossing Powder heat set each layer and then added them to my copper foil mats.
I attached everything together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. You do have to make sure that when you are lining the layers back up on the layer on top you have to line the images up so that they look as if they fit back together correctly. You do have a little wiggle room but not alot. I love the look of how the stamping looks endless. I chose to alternate the colors of my cardstock between Petal Pink and Gray Granite between each copper foil layer. I started out with my Petal Pink card base then did a copper foil layer then a gray granite layer then the copper the petal pink and so on and so forth.
Before adding the layered card front to the card base I added some of the Petal Pink Organdy Ribbon to the front and tied a simple knot to one side. I then used the Stitched Shapes Dies and cut out a stitched circle from some Petal Pink Cardstock and stamped the flower from the sent in the middle with Petal Pink ink. I did stamp off once to get a lighter shade of Petal Pink for the flower. I then stamped the sentiment in Versamark and covered with it copper embossing powder and then heat set it. I added the stitched circle to a scalloped circle that I die cut from some copper foil. The sentiment piece was then popped up over the ribbon with a couple stampin' dimensionals. To finish off the card I added a few champagne rhinestones. I thought they complimented the copper foil really nicely.
For the inside of my card I stamped one of the sentiments in Gray Granite ink and stamped the feather a few times around the inside of the card. Thanks for dropping by today. I hope that you will take a little time this week and play along with us at The Spot for this week's color challenge. I know that you will find this to be a super fun challenge and it will really spark your creative juices.
