Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a very tropical themed card using products from the Tropical Oasis Suite in the 2020 January-June Mini Catalog. Add a pop of paradise to your crafting with lush foliage and tropical images. The Tropical Oasis Suite Bundle features retro tropical images and glorious colors to make a statement on your projects. It’s just another day in papercrafting paradise when you use the stamps and dies to create your own dreamy designs. Invoke a touch of the tropics with bronze-finish trinkets including a pineapple, hibiscus, ukulele, and palm leaves. When you’re all done, hold the project to your ear and listen for the waves gently crashing onto the shoreline. Here's a look at my card using products from this suite.
Tips & Tricks:
I started out by stamping the flowers from the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set in Soft Suede ink on whisper white cardstock. Once stamped I started coloring the flowers with my Stampin' Blends. I used Daffodil Delight, Pineapple Punch, and Mango Melody to color the petals. I used the Mango blends to color in the dark areas indicated by the designer on the stamp, blending it out with the Daffodil Delight Blends, and then blending everything with the Pineapple Punch Blends. I then stamped and die cut all the different leaves in Old Olive and Mossy Meadow cardstocks.
I also used the Soft Suede Blends to color in the center of the flower. I ran the Soft Suede and Old Olive pieces of cardstock through the embossing machine with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder. I put the embossed Soft Suede piece onto my Old Olive Card base and then matted a piece of the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper with Early Espresso. Then I started the layering process. I started out my adding the matted DSP onto the card base. Next I added the embossed piece of Old Olive. I then added a piece of the Braided Burlap Trim. I then added the flowers with dimensionals.
Once the flowers were in place I could tuck the leaves behind and add them with a little liquid glue. I then stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock and added it to the front of the card. Next I added a bow I made with some of the thread from the braided trim. To finish the card off I decided to add a couple of the leaf trinkets from the Annual Catalog.

This Week's Projects:
One of the first things you have to do when you are going to have a party or event is you have to send out invitations, right! Well, what's better than making your own with the So Inviting Stamp Set. So that's the first thing we are going to do. We need an invitation to send out so I used the Pleased As Punch DSP and the So Inviting Stamp Set to create a fun invite that would work for any occasion. And with the help of the Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set (SAB item) it was super easy to make a fun Birthday Themed Invite.
So once the invites are created and mailed we are going to need a little party favor for our guests right? So I used some of the products from the January-June Mini Catalog and created a quick and easy party favor so everyone could have a little something to take home.
Now that the party is over and we have received some wonderful gifts! It's time to make a few Thank you cards and send out thanking everyone for coming and to thank the people that sent or brought gifts. So I used the same stamp set and DSP and did just that.
If you are interested in learning how to make more invitations there's still time to sign up for my So, Inviting Online Class. Deadline is March 13, 2020. Read more about the class and signup here.

Tips & Tricks:
To start off I took a piece of Whisper White Cardstock cut at 4 x 5 1/4, and stamped the bride image in Tuxedo Black ink. I then repeated the stamping on a piece of the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper in the same ink. Once the ink was dry on the DSP I took my basic black stampin' write marker and extended the lines of the dress to run off the card front. I then used my Paper Snips and cut out the dress. I made sure to cut it out just along the stamped lines. I then took my Stampin' Blends and colored the rest of the bride.
Once all the coloring was done I used some Multipurpose Liquid Glue and attached the designer series paper dress right over the other one. I then stamped the sentiment on the card front with calypso coral ink. I added the card front to a piece of petal pink cardstock 4 1/8 x 5 3/8. I then added it to my Sahra Sand Card base that was cut to 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2.
To finish off the card I added a few rhinestones to add a little bling and shine to the card. Thanks for dropping by today. If you need any of the supplies that I used today you can find them listed below in my Stampin' Up Shopping List.
