Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a fun technique for my new series Technique Tuesdays. Each Tuesday I will be sharing a different technique with you. I know exciting right. I will also be having a Technique Club starting in January where you can learn even more techniques more information on that soon. But for my card today I am going to share a fun technique called mirror stamping. It's a fun easy way to get a reverse image of a stamped image that only goes in one direction; and sometimes we want to have the same image go the other direction. So we might want to have something looking at itself or something facing the other way. Mirror stamping is the answer on how to do just that. I based this card from last weeks Casing Tuesday sketch. Here's a look at my card.
Tips & Tricks:
Mirror stamping isn't that hard once you get the hang of it and there's a lot of ways to do this technique. I am going to share the one I learned back in November at the Onstage in Atlanta. I've tried the others and this was the easiest I've ever tried. And, had the best results with. I picked the Playful Penguins Stamp Set to do my card today. It's one of my favorite sets and sadly it's on the retiring list. So if you want to get these little cuties if you haven't already; you need to do so ASAP.
There are some tools you will need to make this technique work. One of the main tools is a Silicone Craft Sheet. This and the Stamparatus was vital in making this technique easy and produced the best results I've gotten. So, I think these tools are a must have to get great results. Once you have those two things you can pick out your favorite image and get to stamping.
I started by stamping the penguin closest to the fold line first, using my Stamparatus. I didn't move the stamp. I removed my cardstock and replaced it with my Silicone Craft Sheet. I then inked up my stamp again and stamped it on the Silicone Craft Sheet. I then repeated the stamping one more time because I wanted to have enough ink on the craft sheet. Once that was done I took my card front and flipped it over where I was looking at the back and placed it over the silicone craft sheet. Without moving the cardstock I took the door of the Stamparatus and stamped the image on the back of the cardstock. This allowed the image to be transferred with enough pressure that I got a great stamped impression. And that was it that was the technique.
Once everything was stamped it was time to put my card together. I added the stamped card front to my Shaded Spruce card base after stamping my greeting. I then added two strips of Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the card front. I added a insert to the inside of my card and added another cute little penguin along with my Christmas Sentiment.

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a fun little holiday card that uses some products from the upcoming January-June Mini Catalog, as well as some Holiday Catalog Products. I created today's card with the Country Club Designer Series Paper and the Argyle 3d Embossing folder, along with the Pine Tree Punch. Yes, I am using the Country Club Paper for my card I love the Argyle pattern print in this fun pack of paper, and I think it's perfect for a fun little Christmas Card. Here's a look at my card today.
This is a super fun card and I think that anyone would love to get it in the mail. The argyle pattern is just a fun playful pattern and adds so much fun to this card. I paired the argyle with the copper foil to add a little shine to the card. The Ho Ho Ho came from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set which matches the Pine Tree Punch.

Hello and to my blog; today I am going to share with you a easy card that you can change out the sentiment on and change why you are sending the card. I used the Rustic Retreat stamp set as the main focal point of my card along with a another stamp set and the birch background stamp. This is a card that you can use all year long. Here's a look at my card.
Step into nature with the Rustic Retreat Stamp Set. This set offers an idyllic setting for creating beautiful moments with its uplifting sentiments and fun forest images, including a friendly bear. The Rustic Retreat Stamp Set was inspired by Million Sales Achiever Mary Polcin. So it was the perfect stamp set for my card today. I started out by stamping the card base with the Birch Wood background stamp. I used Mossy Meadow Ink to match the cardstock. I then stamped the row of trees from Winter Woods on a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock in Crumb Cake ink. Then I stamped the cabin and the treeline image from Rustic Retreat in Early Espresso ink on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. For the treeline image I stamped off first before stamping it onto the very vanilla cardstock. I then stamped the sentiment to make it a Christmas card in Mossy Meadow.
I added a piece of very vanilla on the inside with the pine bough image from Rustic Retreat in Mossy Meadow ink, before adding it to the inside. For the card front once everything was stamped I started building up the card. I added the Crumb cake piece to the center of the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I then added the Very Vanilla piece in the center with Stampin' Dimensionals.
To finish off the presentation of the card I decorated the Very Vanilla envelope with the Birch Wood Background stamp on the flap in Mossy Meadow ink. By, repeating some of the patterns and the colors it ties everything together. If you want to change the sentiment you can make this card into any all occasion card to send to anyone.
Sizes & Dimensions:
Mossy Meadow 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Crumb Cake: 3 3/4 x 4 1/4
Very Vanilla: 2 x 4 1/4, 4 x 5 1/4 (inside)
Thanks for dropping by today, I hope that you give this cute little rustic card a try if it's for a Christmas card or for a all occasion card. I know you will love it.
