For the Love of Felt!

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you the For the Love of Felt Project kit.  This is a super fun kit that features some fabulous felt flowers and stamped images.  I am just going to say before I go any further that if you don't love Multipurpose Liquid glue then you will after doing this kit.  Here's a look at this super cute kit and the cards that it makes.

The For the Love of Felt Project kit makes 12 super cute cards (4 each of 3 designs) that measure 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  Plus you get the super cute box as well.  The fun felt flowers and layers add texture and dimension to the cards you can make with the For the Love of Felt Project Kit.  This isn't like the All Inclusive kits that Stampin' Up! sales; this is a Project kit which means you will need additional supplies like the matching stamp set, stamp pads, and adhesive.  Here's a look at all the supplies that comes inside the kit.

As you can see just what comes in the box you can also see that you get a lot of supplies to create the cards that's in the kit.  So as I mentioned you will need the For the Love of Felt Cling Mount stamp set as well as the following ink pads; Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Shaded Spruce, Sahara Sand, and Pear Pizzazz.  You will also need Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, and a pair of Paper Snips to complete this kit.  I personally found it helpful to have some Mini Glue Dots around also.

Follow Your Art Rainbow Paper Clips

Hello and welcome again to my blog; my second post today is for Kylie's International Blog Highlights.  There are projects from all over the world that have been submitted.  You can vote for my card here.  If I am one of the top 10 winners I get to take part in her International blog hop again this month.  For my card I used the It Starts with Art Stamp set to create this super fun clean and simple Encouragement card.  Here's a look at my card.

Tips & Tricks: 

I started out by picking one of the images I thought was under used.  I went with the Paper Clip/Binder clip image and stamped it using my Stamparatus with the hinge step technique.  I stamped five of them on a strip of whisper white cardstock (1 1/2 x 5 1/4) so that I could use my Many Marvelous Markers to color them in.   Also lately a little under used.  I colored each one in matching colors in the designer series paper.  I used Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Coastal Cabana, and Pacific Point plus a little Basic Gray for the metal.  Since I was stamping them on such a small piece of paper and the images where so small I really didn't need to blend them.  I added that to a piece of Coastal Cabana Cardstock (1 3/4 x 5 1/4).  

My card base was a piece of Pacific Point cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.  To the front of the card base I added a piece of the Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper cut at 4 x 5 1/4 and stamped my sentiment at the bottom right corner.  Above that I added my colored paper clips mounted on the coastal cabana cardstock with Stampin' Dimensionals.  You can see how using the Stamparatus to stamp them I have perfect placement and spacing.
