Super Quick & Easy Bird Ballad Card

Hello and welcome to my blog and YouTube Channel; today I am going to share with you a super quick and easy card featuring products from the Bird Ballad Suite from Stampin' Up!'s 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.  When I say super quick and easy I really mean it.  Here's a look at my card.

The main star of this card is the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.  I used it on the background and to cut the birds and some of the floral out of one of the sheets.  This is what makes this card so super quick and easy.  The hardest thing about the card is cutting out the images, but it only took just a few extra minutes.  I do need to mention that all the lovely birds on the sheets of paper it may take a few extra minutes to decided which to cut out.

But, once you do have it cut out it's just a matter of attaching them to your card front and stamping the sentiment.  The only stamping I did was the little sentiment on the front panel.  And that was it. It took me a few minutes to make this card.  I talked about my Slizzin' Summer Kick Off Promotion for at least 2 to 3 minutes in the video so I would say this card probably took about five minutes to create.

Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop

Hello and welcome again to my blog; for my second post today I am going to share with you the card that I designed for Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop.  I used some fun new products for you on this card and it couldn't have been more simple and quick.  I used the new Bird Ballad Laser-cut card which comes in a nice pretty little tin.  These cards are so much better than the laser cut paper we've had in the past in my opinion.  I didn't have to try and cut the delicate laser paper into something that I could use on my card.  Don't get me wrong I loved the laser-cut paper but to me it was so hard to work with.  These new laser-cut cards made it super easy no detailed cutting trying to get just the right piece.  I just added a few little elements and it was done.  Here's a look at my card.

I mean seriously it couldn't have been any easier.  The Bird Ballad Laser-cut cards are a standard A2 size (5 1/2 x 8 1/2), which makes them so much more useful than a note card.  No extra postage required you have to love that.   And, you get 12 laser-cut cards and 12 beautifully scalloped envelopes all in a pretty little tin.  To dress up my card I die cut two large stitched circles from Very Vanilla cardstock and on the one going on the from I stamped a few of the floral images and used a blender pen with a little ink to fill them in.

Next I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Pool Party cardstock that I die cut with the Stitched Nested Label dies; I used one of the smaller ones.  In between the two stitched circles I sandwiched the front of the laser cut card and a little of the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.  I popped that up on a couple Stampin' Dimensionals over some braided linen ribbon.  I placed two of the Bird Ballad Trinkets on the front of the card and a little of the Mossy Meadow linen thread tied into a bow.

By layering the die cuts I could hide the adhesive from the front and that allowed my card not to glue itself shut.  Plus it allowed a place that I could either write or stamp a small sentiment on the inside of the card and it wouldn't get in the way of all that lovely laser-die cutting.

All of the products I used came from this one little suite except the ink pads.  Not to bad if I say so myself.  I love it when I can use products from one or two pages of the catalog and I can create such a fun and wonderfully beautiful card without much trouble.  You can order all the supplies I used today in my online store I will have a list of all the items below the Blog Hop Roll.  And, remember if you are viewing my post via my wordpress site you will have to click here to see the blog roll.  I know some of you haven't made the transition to my new site yet.

My Free As A Bird In Color Card

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you the card that I made to send out in my Catalog packages, for all my customers that shopped with me in the last six months.  I wanted to use the new In Colors and wanted to use a fresh summery stamp set.  Free as A Bird fit the bill as a fun summery new stamp set that would be fun to use.  Here's a look at my card.

Each card that I sent out was slightly different.  I cut strips of all the new 2019-2021 In Colors cardstock in various width strips.  The 2" strip I had actually cut earlier for my book makes that I made to send with them as well, but I had a lot of left overs.  So they were perfect to use for these cards.  I was drawn to these colors when I saw them in the catalog because they were so different then anything we have had.  I still wasn't actually sure if I would get them until I actually saw them in person.  My personal favorite is Terracotta Tile, it is very close to the Pantone Color of the year this year Lovely Coral.
Each strip was adhered down with multipurpose liquid glue.  This gave me a little time to move things in line.  I used the lines on my grid paper to help line everything up.  Once I had all the strips down I used a guillotine cutter and trimmed off the overhang.  I wanted them to see the new in colors, because I knew they would have the same reaction as I did when I first saw them in the catalog; and knew this was the best way for them to do so.  It didn't take to long to put together and I think it came out with a really nice look.  This was my sample card that I made to figure things out.  Here's a look at one of the other cards I made with a different color arrangement.

Out of all the catalogs I sent out this time I had one returned, because the post office when I mailed it and they printed the label forgot to put the apartment number on the label.  So I will have to pop her card and bookmark in the mail to here.  I already sent her a new catalog, but wasn't thinking about anything else and forgot to send her one.  I was more concerned about the catalog and why it was coming back because I knew the address label I printed was correct.  But, its okay I will just pop her little goodies in the mail and get them to her.  That was a little side tangent let's get back to the card shall we.
Free As A Bird and the products in the Bird Ballad Suite are my featured products this week and you will be seeing a lot of different projects with them this week.  I have tried to showcase all the products for you to see just how wonderful they are.  I know it's hard to see that in the catalog sometimes but Stampin' Up! has done a great job this year with the new catalog layout and how things are arranged and shown.  If you are interested in the new In Colors and want to have them all but can not get them all at one time, why not join my In Color Club, where you can collect them all over the next five months.  You can read more about that here.

The Free As a Bird Stamp Set has some super fun images that can be used not just the summer months, they actually can be used all year long.  I love the mixed fonts that Stampin' Up! used in the stamp set for the sentiments.  Some of the sentiment is a little more bold than the other part of it which makes for a nice little change in appearance on your projects.  The line art images are perfect for your favorite coloring media.  I chose to just stamp this bird image on all my cards and not color them.  But I did color them on other projects that I have done with this set.  For this month's Creative Stampers Tutorial Bundles the design team decided to focus on this suite of projects.  And let me just say that there are some very cute and fun projects in this month's bundle.  I am so impressed each month with the creativity they come up with.  You can get the tutorial bundle two different ways.  You can either earn it free with a purchase (using the monthly host code) or you can purchase the tutorial bundle for $20 USD from me.

Here's a last look at my card for today.  I will be back later today with another post for Kylie's Bertucci's Demonstrator Training Program Blog Hop.

If you are interested in any of these products you can find them below in the Stampin' Up! shopping list.  Thanks for dropping by today, I hope that you have a wonderful day and I will see you again soon.
