Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you another project for my 12 Days of Fall Mini Series. This card features the Gather Together Stamp Set, and the Come To Gather Designer Series Paper. This fun Fall themed suite of products is perfect for this time of year with the rustic changing colors and the crisp cool air. Here's a look at the card I made.
I started out my card with a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 to make a top folding card. I then took a piece of Whisper White cut at 2 1/4 x 5 1/4 and stamped the large leaf and dotted textural stamp in the background using Pretty Peacock ink. Once the stamping was complete I attached this to my card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I next took a strip of Pretty Peacock cardstock cut at 1 3/4 x 5 1/4 and positioned it where the edges were touching in the middle tightly.
I then added a strip of the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper cut at 1 1/2 x 5 1/4 to the center of the Pretty Peacock strip I just added. To that I added a 1/2" x 5 1/4" strip of Pretty Peacock cardstock and layered on a 1/4" x 5 1/4" of Terracotta Tile Cardstock to add a little more interest and color to the card. At this point I needed something to act as an embellishment so I took scraps of Terracotta Tile, Mint Macaron, and Merry Merlot cardstocks and spritzed them with a little water and used the leaf dies from the Gather Leaves Dies and ran them through my Die cutting machine. This allowed for a little darker color on the inside of the vines of each of the embossed and die cut leaves. I added a my sentiment on a 3/4" strip of Whisper White cardstock stamped in Pretty Peacock ink and popped it up on dimensionals. I added the three leaves around the sentiment to look like they were falling using dimensionals also.
To finish off my card I added a piece of whisper white cut at 4 x 5 1/4 stamped with one of the large leaves in the corner. That was attached to the inside of the card with adhesive and once I decorate the envelope this card will be ready to go.
Thanks for dropping by today I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and I will see you tomorrow for another episode of Saturday Simple Stamping. If you need any of the supplies you have seen today you can find them in Stampin' Up! Shopping List below.
Hello and welcome to my second post today; I am going to share with you a card that I made for Kylie's International Blog Highlights. I used my Featured stamp set the Daisy Lane Stamp set for my card today. I am going to sharing with you all types of cards you can create with it this week. The theme for the Highlights was Encouragement and the Daisy Lane Stamp Set has some great sentiments for just that reason. Plus some wonderful images as well. Okay okay here's my card.
A Little Shine:
For this card I used the fern image from the stamp set and stamped it onto a piece of Pretty Peacock (2019-2021 In Color) cardstock with Versamark ink. Versamark is a clear sticky ink used for embossing or watermarking. I then added silver embossing powder to the sticky ink and heat set it. If you haven't ever watched a image heat emboss it's so much fun and amazing to watch the powder go to a molten liquid and then harden again. After I had that done I went ahead and heat embossed the sentiment that reads "it's your time to shine" with the silver embossing powder on a strip of Basic Black Cardstock, and sat it aside to cool completely. I then added my peacock layer to a Basic Black mat cut at 4 x 5 1/4 and added it to my thick Whisper White card base (5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4).
I then added some silver thread loops to the front of the card using just a little snail behind where the sentiment was going. I then added the sentiment on a couple Stampin' Dimensionals. At this point I felt like it still needed a little something something. So, I got out my clear wink a stella brush pen and flicked on some glitter. This added just the right touch, sadly it doesn't really show up in the photos. You can kind of see it here in the close up.
For the inside of the card I stamped a few of the ferns in Pretty Peacock ink on a piece of regular whisper white cardstock. I also stamped Friend from the stamp set for the inside sentiment and then attached it to the inside. I also did the same thing to the envelope.
I can totally see me at Christmas using this card but having changed the sentiment to a more Holiday Greeting instead of the encouragement one I used today. I think it would make a very pretty Christmas Card.
I just love how it turned out and I hope that you do too. If you love my card please vote for me as your favorite over on the highlight page. Hello and welcome to my Blog and YouTube Channel; today I am going to talk to you about the new 2019-2021 In Colors. This years colors are very vintage looking some look very muted while others are very pastel. I have seen almost all of them in resent fashion spreads, among other things.
If you don't know the In Colors are colors that are on Trend and we get five new colors every other year. These colors are replacing Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, and Powder Pink. If you want any thing that has to do with the retiring colors you need to get them now they are all on the Last Chance List and the in colors always sale fast. You can click here to shop the retiring list. So are you ready to see the five new colors that are replacing these favorites?
The new in colors are Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray, and Purple Posey. So I made five cards using the same stamp set to showcase and introduce these new colors during my weekly Facebook Live Last night. You can see that video below and I have a closer look at each color for you also.

Closer Look:
Okay so lets have a closer look at each of these fun new colors shall we.
Here's a look at Rococo Rose, with it's muted mauve pink color. I really think that this color will be very interesting when paired with different colors. And, depending on what you pair it with it will change the tone it appears.
Terracotta Tile is the perfect cross between red and orange. It has a earthy undertone that reminds me of Spanish tiles. It has a rich but muted tone to it that will be interesting to see how it pairs with some of the core colors.
Pretty Peacock is exactly that it looks like the color in a peacock. Its a very deep teal blue color that's going to be perfect rich regal color that will pair well with purples as well as greens, and most blues. If you think it looks like tranquil tide you would be surprised when placed side by side that Tranquil Tide is more a greenish teal color.
Seaside Spray is a very muted pastel blue that reminds me of a winter sky. This is going to be a color that's fun to play with.
Purple Posey just by observation and I haven't tested this yet. Looks like it could be layered with Highland Heather, and Gorgeous Grape as the lightest color of the three. I did notice that when I stamped it off; it was a super light shade.
Well that's a quick little walk through of the five new colors. If you are wondering what stamp set I used it's To A Wild Rose which is new in the upcoming 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. All the new products that I am sharing with you today can not be purchased until June. If you would like to get your hands on these items early it's super easy to do. All you have to do is join my team and you will be able to preorder with other demonstrators in May. So would you like to see a few of the color coordinating products that match these colors.
