A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - World's Greatest

 

Hello and welcome to this month's A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop; Each month we share alternative projects for the current Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I created a card and a box using additional products and one of the card bases from this month's kit.  Here's a look at my card for this month.  

For my card this month I cut a piece of Pacific Point Cardstock to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored it at 4 1/4".  I then took one of the card bases from the kit and cut off 3" x 5 1/2" piece and attached it to my card base.  I then cut a then strip of Daffodil Delight Cardstock and added it the seam of the card base and the card.  I stamped three of the ribbons from this month's World's Greatest Stamp Set in Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point, and Daffodil Delight onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock.  I used my Paper Snips and cut each one out.  I attached them to the card with either Stampin' Seal or Stampin' Dimensionals.  

I took the rest of the card base and scored it every 1 1/4" on the long side and on the short side as well.  I then folded all the score line and added the Daffodil Delight Ribbon and tied it into a bow.  I stamped the one of the sentiment on one of the circles from the kit and added it to the foil scalloped circle.  It's a super simple but cute little box.

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop: Something for Everything

Hello and welcome to this month's A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop; each month we come up and share alternative projects using the kit from that month.  This month's kit was titled Something for Everything and came with a wonderful sentiment stamp set that has one for everything you can think of.  I used a little additional cardstock to create my two projects this month.

I created a fun little tag topper box and this fun card using products from this month's kit as well as a few additional items.  For my card I used half of one of the floral cards from the kit and some of the white crinkled seam binding from the new Mini Catalog that goes live tomorrow.  I added the cut card base to a piece of Grapefruit grove cardstock that I embossed using the Basketweave 3d embossing folder.  Before adding the crinkle seam binding I stamped on it to create some texture and to add a little more color.  I used crushed curry but you could use any color you would like.

For my box I used some Shaded Spruce cardstock and made the box, and the left over half of the card base from before was cut down to make the sides of the box.  I finished off the box with a little of the Terracotta Tile scalloped trim and a happy birthday banner.

Paper Pumpkin December 2019 Alternative Projects

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a couple alternative projects for the December Paper Pumpkin kit Something for Everything.  Each month I love to create a few alternative projects to stretch the contents of my Paper Pumpkin kits.  By creating alternative projects you can not only stretch your kits to make more projects and more cards using some additional cardstock and other supplies along with creating sometimes even doubling the contents of the kits.  Here's a look at two alternatives that I came up with so far.

This month I used almost everything from this month's kit to create these two alternatives with the addition of two pieces of cardstock.  I used a piece of Terracotta Tile and Crushed Curry Cardstock to create these two cards.  Since you get two card bases from one sheet of cardstock I could have easily created two cards of the same design.  I used one of the card bases from the December kit on my cards today.  Well, two and a 2 1/4 of the cards in the kit.

For my first alternative card I cut a piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock in half at 4 1/4 x 11".  I then cut the Green striped card base from the kit down.  I started by cutting the front apart and cut the card front down to 2" x 4" and the back green piece of the card base down to 4 1/4 x 2 1/4".  I then layered the two pieces together.  I used the little flower image from this months stamp set all around the bottom of the card base in Crushed Curry Ink.  I stamped in both 1st and 2nd generation stamping.  I wrapped some whisper white baker's twine around my card base and tied a bow.  I then added the crushed curry polka dot hexagon sticker from the kit on to the front of the card base.  I added one of the gold foil stickers to the center of the hexagon, and stamped my sentiment on one of the banners.  I popped the banner up on Stampin' dimensionals.  I finished off this card by adding a Whisper White inside (4 x 5 1/4) and a few of the rhinestones that came in the December Kit.

For my second card I used a Terracotta Tile card base cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and layered the remaining striped card base to the front.  I then took one of the flowery card bases and cut a tag using the tag die from the Bonanza Dies (new in the January - June Mini Catalog).  I added the gold foil swirl onto the tag and then stamped the sentiment onto one of the banners and added it to the card front.  I added some of the flower stickers to the card front along with some of the leaves.  I added a couple of the small flowers to the card front and placed a few rhinestones to the center of them.  I added a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of whisper white to the inside of the card.

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop: Gift of Fall

Hello and welcome to my blog for my second blog post for today.  This month's kit was a super cute kit that featured Fall themed gift bags and tags.  We also had the option of purchasing a matching add on kit also.  This months Paper Pumpkin Kit was titled Gift of Fall.  I shared earlier this kit and the projects from that kit earlier today you can click here to see that post.  For my alternative projects this month I came up with three super cute projects.  Here's a look at my projects.

I came up with three cards and a super cute little box using additional products along with products from this month's kit.  The first card I came up with was the Pretty Peacock card here.

I started out with a piece of Pretty Peacock Cardstock (4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2).  I stamped the leaf image from this month's stamp set all around the card base in Pretty Peacock ink.

Next I added one of the white tags in the center of the card.  I then added the crushed curry circle from this month's kit to the center of the banner with a few stampin' dimensionals.  I then added two of the vellum leaves one of the pretty peacock striped leaf and one of the craft leaf.  I added all the leaves with mini glue dots tucked under the crushed curry circle with the multicolored branches on it.

I then stamped my sentiment on one of the banners in Merry Merlot and added that to the center of the circle using stampin' dimensionals.  I then added a few of the gold self adhesive sequins to the card front.  I added some of the crushed curry seam binding ribbon that I made into a bow and attached with a mini glue dot.

To finish off my card I added a piece of whisper white cardstock that I stamped the branch on the left hand side in pretty peacock ink.  This finished off my first card.

Next I created the little box using some Rich Razzleberry cardstock and the Perfect Parcel dies.  It took one piece of cardstock to create this box.  Once I had everything cut out I used the Golden Glitz Delicata ink and stamped the branch around the side of the box.

Once I had the pieces cut out stamped and the ink dried I added some tear and tape and put the box together.  Once it was together I created my tag for the box.  I used one of the crushed curry circles for the main part of the tag along with one of the labels.  I stamped my sentiment on the tag and added it to the circle using stampin' dimensionals.  I then added some of the Crushed Curry Seam binding to around the box and tied it in a pretty bow.  I added the tag to the top of the box with dimensionals attached to the ribbon that way I could slide the tag and ribbon off without having to untie it.

I finished this project off by adding a few of the gold self adhesive sequins to the tag and around the circle.

For the third project today I created another card that matched my little box.  I used a piece of Merry Merlot cardstock (5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4).

I stamped the branch in the Golden Glitz Delicata Ink going up the left hand side of the card base and then I added the multicolored banner to the card base one of the Merry Merlot circles and a little of the twine.  Next I stamped the sentiment in the same Delicata ink on one of the die cuts and added this to the circle with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I then added one of the vellum leafs.  These leafs are so pretty they have a watercolor look to them but I didn't have to do any of the work to create them.  I then added some of the Blackberry bliss leaves and the crumb cake leaves.  

I finished off the card by adding a piece of whisper white to the inside and a few of the sequins to the card front.
