Roses are Red Violets are Blue Chocolate/Money Holder
Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a project that is very versatile and could be used in two different ways if not a few more that I haven't thought about yet. I used products from the From My Heart Suite to create my project. If you need to make some treats for Valentine's Day you still have time to do so. I designed my project to hold either a Whitman's Chocolate Bar or maybe a little cash. Here's a look at my project.
I cut my card stock down and scored it. My cardstock was cut at 8 1/8 x 7 3/4. I scored it on the 7 3/4" side at 5/8 & 7 1/8. On the 8 1/8" side it was scored at 1 1/2, 2 1/8, 4 5/8, 5 1/4. I then cut it so that I would have a side wall on both side and then rounded the top flaps corners. I cut a piece of the From my Heart Speciality Designer Series paper to 6 x 2 1/2 and rounded the bottom corners to match the rounded corners of the chocolate/money wallet. I then stamped the dotted heart in Real Red ink onto a scrap of Whisper white cardstock and punched it out with the matching punch from the Heart punch pack. I inked my sentiment in Flirty Flamingo ink and cleaned off the red and blue and used my stampin' write markers in Real Red and Blueberry Bushel to ink them up before stamping them in the center of the heart. I placed to dimensionals behind the punched out heart at the top and bottom to create a channel so the ribbon would move freely. I decorated the outside with the Heart Epoxy Droplets that I colored with both Real Red Stampin' blends before adhering them down. I ran about 28" of the Real Red Double stitched ribbon around the box and tied it in a bow to secure. I then added the heart over it and secured the ribbon on the back with a mini glue dot, just for a little extra security.
Thanks for dropping by today, I hope that you have been inspired a little. If you need any of these supplies you can pick them up in my online store by clicking on the items in the shopping list below. I will be kicking off my Treat Week 2020 tomorrow where I will be bringing you 7 super cute treat packing video tutorials all week long. So I will have a new video for you each day this week so you will want to make sure you check back in each day to see what's happening. I am just going to tell you that these projects are super cute and really easier than they look. They will also range in skill levels so there will be something for everyone.
