Fall Leaves with Stampin' Blends - Gather Together Stamp Set

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a super pretty Fall card for you, feathering some Fall leaves and Stampin' Blend coloring.  I used the Gather together Stamp Set for my card today.  Which features a large leaf that's a line art image perfect for coloring with any media you pick.  I went with Stampin' Blends to have some wonderful vivid color.  Using the Stampin' Blends to color with helped to achieve the Fall colors I was going for.  Here's a look at my card.

Tips & Tricks:

To start my card I took a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock and and stamped the large leaf image from the Gather Together Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black ink.  I let the ink dry completely before I started coloring.
Once the ink was completely dry it was time to start coloring.  For each leaf I did a four color blend; by that I mean I used four different stampin' blends to color each one.  I started off by coloring the bottom leaf with Mango Melody light and dark with Daffodil Delight light and dark.  For the red leaf I used Cherry Cobbler light and dark with a little Real Red and Rich Razzleberry.  On the third leaf I used Mango Melody Pumpkin pie and a just a little Soft Suede.  By using the four colors I was able to give the leaves a more realistic look.
Once all the leaves where colored I used the matching dies to cut them out.  It was time to put everything together.  I used a Thick Whisper White Card base cut at 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2.  Before putting all the leaves on the card base I flicked on a little Basic Black ink to tie in the tuxedo black that I stamped with.  Once the ink dried I stamped a sentiment and cut it out with my paper snips.  I then started arranging everything on the card base.
Once I had everything arranged the way I wanted; it was time to start attaching everything to the card.  I attached some of the leaves with liquid glue (the pumpkin pie leaf).  For the more yellow leaf I used both liquid glue and a couple stampin' dimensionals.  By doing this it allows for more dimensionals to the card but allows the eye to be drawn to the leaf that's completely popped up (Cherry Cobbler leaf) as well as the sentiment.
To finish off the card I added the sentiment with a few mini dimensionals and added some gold sequins to add a little bling to the card.  I hope that you have enjoyed my little Fall card today; sadly Fall will be over soon and we will not get to see all the beautiful colors that comes with this time of year again until next year.  But, there is another way to keep seeing these colors all year long, how you may be asking?   Well, that's if you have the Gather Together stamp and die set along with stampin' blends.  Thanks for dropping by, I will see you again tomorrow, remember that today kicks off this years Online Extravaganza sale in my online store.  This sale only last for three days and you can stock up on some great products at a discount.

Kylie's Demonstrator Training Program Team Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to this month's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop.  It's Fall still even with the temperature that has dropped to a cool Winter chill.  But sometimes it happens that it starts getting colder during Thanksgiving.  Thanksgiving in the States is only three weeks away, and we all have a lot to be thankful for.  During this time of the year in the US we celebrate Thanksgiving a time to be thankful for everything in your life.  Over the last year there has been a lot of ups and downs good and bad that have happened.  I am thankful for so much during this season of thanks.  I am thankful for the time that my Baby brother had to stay with us during his recovery before his untimely passing, I am thankful for my supportive customers and friends.  I am thankful for being part of this training program again this year.  I am thankful for so many things so with all that in mind I wanted to create a card to represent these and all the other things I am Thankful for this season.  Let's have a look at my card.

Basically for my card I used scraps of the Come Together Designer Series Paper and puzzle pieced these scraps into a design that was pleasing to the eye.  I like to refer to this as the Puzzle Piecing or Patchwork technique.  This is a fun way to create especially if you have hit a brick wall in the creative process.  By working in this technique you free up your mind to get past the blocks that could be keeping you from creating.  Once I had the design figured out I added mats to the designer series paper.  Some of the layers were popped up on dimensionals, some where just glued down using liquid glue.   After stamping the pumpkins I used my Wink of Stella to create a watercolor look on the pumpkins.  I cut them out using the matching dies, and added them to my card.

Fall Leaves and Plaid- Gather Together Stampin 'Up! #PCC357

Hello and welcome to my blog!  This week the Paper Craft Crew's weekly challenge is a Tic Tac Toe Challenge.  From the challenge image I had to go with sponging and fall as two of the main elements for my card today.   I have a love of all the colors in Fall and actually my inspiration for my projects came from my very own front door.  I pulled inspiration from the Fall wreath that we have hanging.  Here's a look at my card.

Here's the inspiration image for this weeks challenge.  You can play along just like the game of tic tac toe we played as kids.  I went with the bottom row straight across.

Tips & Tricks:

I started off my card with a piece of Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock cut at (You guessed it 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2).  I used post it tape and my grid paper to mask off lines in different colors in one direction so that I could use my sponge daubers and create the ink blended plaid background.  Once I had all the lines in different sizes going in one direction I came back and did it again going to opposite way to create the plaid.  I used Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, and Crushed Curry Inks for this.
I then stamped three leaves from Gather Together Stamp set and colored them with my colored pencils.  I used a little oil painting solvent to blend the color pencils you can also use baby oil.  I then let that dry and cut them out using the matching die.  While I was die cutting I used the Hand letter Prose dies and cut out the word Fall from some so saffron cardstock.   So while I still had my die cutting machine out I cut out the largest stitched nested label die from a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock and sponged around the edge with some Crumb Cake ink.
Once everything was cut out I popped up the large stitched nested label on my card and cut off a little that was hanging off the side of the card front.  I then added one of the leaves popped up on Stampin' dimensionals and the letters that spelled out Fall.  I then tucked the other two leaves under this.  To finish off the card I added a double bow made with the Cajun Craze Linen thread from the holiday catalog Come Gather Ribbon Combo Pack and added a few rhinestones I colored using my dark Cajun Craze stampin' blend.
Thanks for dropping by I hope that you like my card today, and that you will give making your own plaid background a try.  If you don't you can get the Wrapped in Plaid 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper for your Holiday crafting in my online store.
