Rick's Saturday Simple Stamping Episode 24: Celebrate with Cake Note Cards

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you another Simple Stamping project.  This week we are going to focus on the Celebrate with Cake Stamp Set that can be found in the Beginners Brochure.  You can download this brochure from my website in the catalog section on the right hand side.  This brochure was designed with new crafters in mind; with stamp sets and projects designed just for people just starting out with card making and paper crafting.  Much like this series of projects.  Here's a look at my projects for today.

I CASEd these projects straight from the beginners brochure.  Case means to copy and share everything  or copy and selectively edit depending on who you talk with.  But Casing is a great way for new stampers to learn.  I hope that you will take time and CASE these projects as a new stamper visiting my blog.  We all have to learn to create cards and other projects so I hope that these posts help you find value in creating and the courage to share your creations with the world.

Saturday Simple Stamping Episode 24:

If you are viewing this post by email you will need to click on the image below to view the video.

Closer Look:

Here's a closer look at each of the note cards that I created for this week's Saturday Simple Stamping Post.  We are going to start off with the first one in the video so if you haven't watched it yet you will want to do so.

I started this card by stamping the cake image in Flirty Flamingo ink in the center of the note card.  When I stamped the next two cakes I tried to line them up perfectly with the one in the center.  If that doesn't happen that's okay.  But, you want to start in the center so that you can have equal space on the note card for the other two cakes.  I then stamped the candles in Granny Apple Green ink and then added the sentiment.  I also stamped the same images on the front of the envelope.  This allows for coordination and dresses up our little envelope as well.

For the next note card I stamped it in the portrait position (meaning just up and down with the flap opening from the right).  I stamped the same images in the same ink colors and then stamped the banner that reads Celebrate with Cake! in Granny Apple Green ink.  I stamped the banner on the flap of the envelope to finish it off.
In the Beginning Brochure there's one item number that you can use to get all the supplies you need to make this set of note cards and envelopes.   You can make twenty birthday themed note cards with the supplies in this bundle plus have the block, ink, and stamp set to make more projects in the future.  Not bad for such a small investment up front right!
Thanks for dropping by today for Episode 24 of Saturday Simple Stamping I hope that you are finding this series helpful.  Remember you can order all the supplies need by clicking on the image below.  I did list the bundle above this section also just so you could see all the wonderful products that come inside.

10 Cards 1 Kit featuring the March Paper Pumpkin Kit Poppin' Birthday

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you my 10 Cards with 1 kit video.  For this 10 Cards 1 kit video I am going to be featuring the March 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit Poppin' Birthday.  This was a super fun kit to play with. It features a inside that features two fun pop outs.  One of the pop ups from the inside is a set of three presents and the other is a three tier birthday cake.  Here's a look at the intended cards, and then I will share with you a look at the 10 alternative cards I made.

And Here is a look at the 10 cards I came up with for this month's 10 Cards 1 Kit.

To create the 10 cards that I did as alternative projects this month it only took me 3 of the card bases from the kit plus some of the die cuts.  As far as alternative supplies I used 5 additional pieces of cardstock (1 each of the following Basic Black, Flirty Flamingo, Bermuda Bay, Poppy Parade, and Daffodil Delight).  I also used the following color of inks for the alternative projects; Flirty Flamingo, Bermuda Bay, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, and Archival Black ink (retired).  You can substitute the retired black ink for the memento tuxedo black.   I also used a little basic black baker's twine and the balloon bouquet punch.  Here's the video tutorial showing how I created each card.

Video Tutorial:

If you are viewing this post by email you my have to click here to watch the video some mail servers will not embed the video as it does on my blog.

Cards on Parade:

Here's a closer look at all 10 of the alternative cards that I did with this month's kit.

If you are not a Paper Pumpkin subscriber I highly recommend it.   Paper Pumpkin is the best way to craft when you have limited time, space, and even on the go.  Super exciting news the April Kit will have our first Distinktive stamp set in a Paper Pumpkin kit.  A distinktive stamp is our new photo realistic stamps.  That's all I know about next month's kit because each month is a surprise in a box.  To get the April Kit you have until the 10th to sign up. Kits are $19.95 plus tax each month.  You can also purchase gift certificates for someone with a prepaid subscription.  Prepaid subscriptions come in 1 months, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months; the six and 12 month have a bigger discount attached to them.
Thanks for dropping by today, I hope that you have enjoyed my post and the 10 alternative projects that I created for the March Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I hope that if you're not a subscriber you will take the leap and join now.  I would love to have you as a subscriber and customer.  I send all my current subscribers a FREE catalog as a thank you.
