Stampin' Blends Coloring - Christmastime is Here
Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a card I made with the upcoming Christmastime Is Here Suite of products that will release for a limited time in November. The stamp set in this suite is a duo configuration stamp set; meaning you get two stamp sets one is a Cling Mount set and one is a Photopolymer set. With this configuration you get both styles. The cling stamp is just the outline image and the photopolymer set is designed to layer the colors into the outline. I just stamped the outline image and colored it with my stampin' blends. Here's a look at my card.
Once I got it stamped out I used my Stampin' Blends to color the image. I colored the rose first using the light and dark Cherry Cobbler Combo Pack. I colored the entire rose image with Cherry Cobbler Light first and put down a base color. I then came back with my dark to add my shadows, and then went back in with my light to blend it out. I did this on each petal, one at a time.
Next I worked on the leaves and colored them with Pretty Peacock light and dark blends. This time I did them a little different. I started with the dark and then came back in with the light. With both I flicked in the colors and let the ink blend together. Next I worked on the pine cones. They were colored with Crumb Cake and Soft Suede stampin blends. I then colored the pine branches with Shaded Spruce, put both light and dark in not really blending, but picking certain needles to be each color. This gives the illusion of light and dark needles. I wanted a different shade berry so I used Poppy Parade to color them.
To embellish my card I did some ink platter on my Whisper White Thick panel with my Shaded Spruce Blends. And let that dry and then added some of the gold enamel dots in the limited time release suite, and popped the rose bundle up on dimensionals.

Remember that the products in the Christmastime is Here Suite will release on November 1, 2019. And they are only while supplies last. I will be back again tomorrow with a new project for you see you then.

Rick's Saturday Simple Stamping Episode 25 Featuring the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!
Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you the next Episode of Rick's Saturday Simple Stamping. For this weeks card I used one of my favorite stamp sets, and the stamp set that I will be featuring in my Summer Retreat this year, Beautiful Friendship. This is a great floral stamp set that has a watercolor look without all the work. Which was one of the reasons I picked it for this week's Simple Stamping episode. Here's a look at this weeks #simplestamping card.
This is one of those stamp sets that you can do so much with if you just think outside the box a little. Not that you may want to considering what beautiful floral bouquets you can create. This card literally took me just a few minutes to create. The longest part was picking out what images and colors to use. That's really how easy this card was. I actually did this card last Saturday while I was at a Alabama Mini Retreat with Stampin' Up!. I had just gotten mine in and hadn't had time to play with it because I was presenting at the Mini Retreat and had to finish getting my presentation ready, while waiting on the electrician to come and fix our power from the outside of the house to the inside. Long story, I will fill you in on that during a upcoming Facebook Live.

Blogging Friends Blog Hop: Theme Mother's Day
I started out by stamping the rose. The rose stamp is a three step stamp. I used Pineapple Punch, Daffodil Delight, & Crushed Curry to stamp it. For the leaves I used Soft Sea foam, Pear Pizzazz, and Old Olive for the leaves. I love the dimension that you get from the three different colors.
I added a piece of the Garden Lane designer series paper to the background. I cut four of the happy words from the Well Said Bundle one one from Daffodil Delight Cardstock. If you want to save want to save 10% on this stamp and die bundle you need to do so now; when they hit the new catalog the bundle price will no longer be available. You can only get them separate. This is how it is with every catalog; bundles are only bundled together during the life of that particular catalog.
Thanks for dropping by today, I hope that you have fun hopping along with us this month.
