Wrapped In Plaid Holiday Host Gift Set

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you the projects I made last night during my Facebook Live.  My projects last night featured products from the Holiday Catalog and a Sneak Peek of a product that will be coming out in the January - June Mini Catalog.  I used the All Dressed Up Dies to create a super cute little gift bag with the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper and then created a matching card.  I actually did two versions of each project.  Here's a look at the projects.

Tips & Tricks:

For the card I used a sketch from Casing Tuesday Sketches; I started off by picking my designer series paper first.  Then I pulled the colors of ink, and cardstocks I was going to use.  After that it was just a matter of picking the stamp set.  I picked the two host stamp sets from the Holiday catalog.  The Greatest Part of Christmas Stamp set has some of the best sentiments for the holiday with the best fonts.  So if you are a font person you differently will want this set if you haven't earned it yet with a qualifying order.
The first card I made with this sketch was the one above.  I used Shaded Spruce cardstock as my card base and the Wrapped in plaid DSP for the main part of the card.  For the second card I used Cherry Cobbler for the card base, but I added a mat of Shaded Spruce since I was using the cherry cobbler with whisper white dot dsp.  The first card didn't have to have the additional mat layer since it had a big contrast between the base the DSP.
After working on the cards I made the bags.  I used the All Dressed Up Dies from the Best Dress Suite in the upcoming January-June Mini Catalog.  The January-June Mini is the new name for the Occasions (Spring/Summer) Catalog; which goes live on January 3, 2019.  This set of die not only matches the Dressed to Impress Stamp Set, but there's a great die that makes this cute little gift bag and dies to make other parts of the bag/purse.
The bag/purse takes two pieces of 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to make the base.  I will say that it's a lot easier to put together than the Parcel Die from the Annual Catalog.  And the best part is that the dies once cut out can make different versions of purses.  I am planning on putting a gift card inside for my oldest niece for Christmas.  I think she will love this little purse/bag.

Holiday Owl - Hoot Hoot Hooray Christmas Note Card

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am actually at OnStage in Atlanta getting ready to see some of the great new products that will be coming out in the 2020 Occasions Catalog and Saleabration brochure, but I have a super cute project for you today.  I used the Hoot Hoot Hooray stamp set from the Beginner Brochure along with some of the Night Before Christmas Designers Series Paper for my card today.  Here's a look at my card.

Tips & Tricks:

For my card I used the one of the Scalloped Edge Note Cards from the Annual Catalog.  These cute little note cards some with matching envelopes and the cute little scallop edge.  The Scalloped Edge Note Cards and Envelopes come in four colors.  The four colors you get in each pack are Balmy Blue, Old Olive, light pink (Powder Pink retired) and Terracotta Tile.  One of the great things about the scalloped edge is that you can add a strip of designer series paper to the inside and when closed you can see it from the outside with the scalloped edge.  For the insert I used a strip of the Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper.

To decorate the outside of the note card I stamped the owl from Hoot Hoot Hooray on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and punched it out with a 2" circle punch.  I then colored it with my Old Olive stampin blends.  I then punched out a starburst using my starburst punch and some Cherry Cobbler Cardstock I added the colored owl to the starburst with snail and then popped it up on my card.  I then cut out one of Santa's hat and stocking from the Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper and added it my owl.  I placed the hat on his head and put the stocking on his hand.  I added a mini dimensional under the stocking to make it level.
The sentiment for my card came from the host set Greatest Part of Christmas.  Which can be earned with Stampin' Rewards.

Saturday Simple Stamping #38: Tiny Keepsake Clean & Simple Christmas Card

Hello and welcome to my blog and Day 3 of my 25 Days of Christmas (Holiday Card Series for 2019).  I am going to share with you another card an video for this years Holiday Card Series and today's card is also a Simple Stamping Card as well.  With the 25 Days of Christmas Series I have new Christmas/Holiday projects coming out every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday until December 21, 2019.  For today's card I used the stamp set Tiny Keepsake and created a Clean and Simple Christmas Card for you today.  Here's a look at my card.

As I mentioned above this card was also designed for the beginner in mind.  It only uses stamps, ink , paper, and a embellishment.  Today I chose to use the Red Rhinestones from the Annual Catalog as the embellishment on my card.  I thought that the simplicity of the card didn't need a lot of extra stuff.  I wanted to use the Tiny Keepsake stamp set from the Holiday Catalog but in a different way than what it was designed for.  This stamp set was designed to decorate the Tiny Curvy Keepsake box.  But, I used one of the design images as the focal image of my card today.  I just adore the simple striped image; it reminds me of candy canes and I thought it was perfect for a clean and simple one layer card.
I stamped the stripped image in the center of my thick Whisper White Card base in Real Red ink.  I thought that this was a perfect attention grabber for a clean and simple card design.  It still reads Christmas without being overpowering.  This design is perfect for mass production and a new stamper at the same time.  Because you can set it up in the Stamparatus and stamp all the card bases at one time or use a clear block and do the same.
Once I had the center stamped I stamped one of the greetings from the stamp set on the outside in Old Olive ink.   I did add a inside sentiment with the Host Set Greatest Part of Christmas (which is one of my favorite Christmas sentiments sets ever).  I love the mix of inside and outside sentiments in this set and it has all kids of different fonts that I am sure you will find something to work on your cards.
As I mentioned before once I had the outside and inside finished I just added a few of the red rhinestones to embellish the card.  If you have missed any of the projects in my 25 Days of Christmas Holiday Card Series you can click here to view them all or just do a simple search on my blog and find them.
