Good Morning Magnolia Thank You Card
Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a card I made using the new Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set. This set comes out on June 4th in the 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. And, actually is in one of the new suites of products in the catalog. This suite is called Magnolia Lane Suite and I am sure you are going to love everything about it. This suite features all kinds of yummy new products from a embossing folder, the wonderful new stamp set I used today, designer series paper, memory & more card pack, some fun embellishments, just to name a few. Let's have a closer look at my card shall we!
As far as the blends that I used I went with Mossy Meadow light & dark blends, Petal Pink Light & Dark Blends, and just a little of the Daffodil Delight Light Stampin' Blend for the center of the magnolia. For the stem I used both the light and dark Soft Suede Stampin' Blends. I would have used So Saffron but it's not out yet (that blend color is new in the 2019 Annual catalog and is on my list of things to order on June 4th) instead of the light Daffodil Delight, but I think it looks just fine. Stampin' Blends are great and easy to work with since there are only two colors you have to mix to get a good blend.
Behind the large magnolia image I used some of the new Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper (also part of this suite and available June 4th) as a backdrop. This pack of designer series paper is chalked full of amazing designs that can be used for anyone. I matted the designer series paper on a piece of whisper white cardstock to tie in the white drawn leaves. I then placed the entire card front on a Rococo Rose card base which measured 4 1/4 x 11 and I scored it at 5 1/2 to make a top folding card. I stamped the Thanks sentiment from the set on some scrap cardstock and made it into a banner and added stampin' dimensionals behind it. I also popped up the magnolia the same way.
To finish off the card the only embellishment I used was a double bow I made with the Mossy Meadow Linen thread. This Linen Thread comes in a combo pack of ribbon that coordinates with this suite. I guess you want to know the name of it so you can add it to your June 4th shopping list right? The combo pack is called the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack, and comes with the Mossy Meadow Linen Thread (5 yards) and some Linen Ribbon with white edges (also 5 yards). I added the double bow with a mini glue dot right on the stem. And that was how easy that was. You all know I like easy and quick.
If you peak inside the opening of the card as it's standing in this picture you can see the other side of the designer series paper. I just used a whisper white insert and attached the left over strip of Designer Series Paper to it. This added the touch of color and coordination to the inside of the card without any fuss. Another thing you all now I like. No fuss no muss.
I hope that you liked my card today, and that you will be adding this suite of products to your list of must have items for June 4th when the catalog goes live on my shopping page. You will find a list of all the items I used on this card below in the shopping list so that you can write it all down on your wish list. I will see you soon with more inspiration! Happy Stampin'!
