Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a super cute and easy clean and simple card using dies as the main focus. Here's a look at the card.
Some of the main parts of this card came from one of the cards that I shared last week with you. I used the scraps from that card and added some more items to it to create this beautiful card. I took the rainbow pieces from the die-cut from last week's card and picked out four different colors of Stampin' Blends and colored them.
I used both shades of each blend on each bow. I started out with the lightest color and then added the darker color and blended them together. You can color the rainbow any color your little heart desires. I went with a more traditional color scheme. I used the following colors; Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, and Highland Heather.
Background Basics:
After coloring the bows It was time to figure out the background. I wanted the rainbow to stand out so I went with a simple background. I used a piece of Basic White Cardstock cut at 4" x 5 1/4" and simply cut it with the Stitched Greenery Die. This fabulous die simply adds a stitched background to the piece of cardstock in a leaf pattern.
I then took this piece of cardstock and added it to the card base. I simply added it to the card base with a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I then simply attached the bows to the card front with the same adhesive.
After adding the bows I punched out two clouds from Basic White Cardstock using the new Cloud Punch. As of this post date, the Cloud Punch is on Low Inventory; which means that it may sell out soon. This doesn't mean that it will not be back in stock soon but it may be a while if it sells out. So, if you want it; order it today!
To finish off the card I cut out the word Thanks from both Basic White Cardstock and Basic Black Cardstock. I also cut it from a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet so that I could add the black layer to it and then add the white layer. I attached this to the clouds that I punched out and added a little ink blending to the bottom of each with a Blending Brush and some Pacific Point Classic Ink.
I added the die-cut word (from the Amazing Thanks Dies) to the card front. I stamped the sentiment from Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set and cut it down just for the words I wanted. I then added just a few of the Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins for a little sparkle.
