Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you the card that I made yesterday during my Coffee & a Card with Rick video. This week I made a tropical themed clean & simple wedding card using the Island Vibes Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set. Here's a look at my card.
I made two versions of this card. This version uses So Saffron Classic Ink and Garden Green Classic Ink for the pineapple from the Island Vibes Stamp Set. You will see the other version in the video where I used Bumblebee Classic Ink and Evening Evergreen Classic Ink to change things up a bit. The Island Vibes Stamp Set features a fun tropical theme and allows you to give the recipient a warm tropical feel.
For the designers series paper in the background I used a piece of the Bloom where You're Planted Designer Series Paper The Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper offers lush images of potted plants and cascading greenery, along with background images that set the stage for your next creative project. The large 12' x 12" (30.5 x 30.5 cm) sheets are sized to work with everything from scrapbooking to cardmaking, and so much more. Grab it and watch your projects grow! I felt that this was a perfect match to the pineapple image from the Island Vibes Stamp Set.
The Island Vibes Stamp Set features an eclectic charcoal-style drawings of banana leaves, pineapple, and a miniature palm tree will add a chill, relaxed vibe to all your papercrafting projects. The banana leaves are designed to work both horizontally and vertically, so they fit anywhere: card fronts, scrapbook pages, and more. Since the Island Vibes Stamp Set only has images you will need to find a sentiment.
We know that sometimes it's hard to find the words to say what you feel. I decided to pick the Celebrating You Cling Stamp Set for the sentiment. For the inside of the card I simply stamped the bananas leaves at the bottom left-hand side of the inside with either Garden Green Classic Ink or Evening Evergreen Classic Ink. The banana leaves are designed to work both horizontally and vertically, so they fit anywhere, just as you can see on the inside view here. Below you can see the other version of the card where I changed the ribbon and ink colors. Even with the changes they still work perfectly for this card.
