Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you the card that I shared yesterday on my YouTube Channel for this weeks Coffee & a Card with Rick episode. During this weeks episode I shared how to make a quick & easy card featuring the Daffodil Afternoon (Sale-A-Bration) Designer Series Paper and the Sale-A-Bration set called Special Moments. More about the Sale-A-Bration items shortly; first here's a look at todays card.
Getting Started:
One thing to do when you get started designing a project is to start off with the Designer Series Paper. As I did here with the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper. I found the pattern I wanted to focus on and pulled the colors for my project from the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper pack. By doing this you are insured that all the components of your project will coordinate and work together.
Since I used the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper; I knew I wanted to use the Daffodil Dies (part of the Daffodil Daydream Bundle) to create a daffodil from cardstock. I used So Saffron Cardstock for the most solid dies. And Daffodil Delight Cardstock for the detailed dies that layer on the solid die cuts. I attached the pieces together with a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue and layered the two pieces together with a few Stampin' Dimensionals.
