Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am sharing two more Disappearing Nine Patch Cards with you. I shared how to make these cards on Friday's blog post and shared the YouTube Video Tutorial on Friday during my weekly Coffee & a Card Episode. The card on the bottom left of the picture below is the one that I already shared which was just using stamps, ink, and paper. The other two versions are each stepped up a little more as we go. I will link to the post on Friday here incase you missed it.
As I mentioned on Friday this technique is based on a quilting technique. I used the same pack of Designer Series paper for each Card but stepped them up each time adding more elements as I went. The Paper I used on each card was the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designers Series Paper found in the current 2021 July-December Mini Catalog.
Disappearing Nine Patch Card for the Causal Crafter:
Okay I designed this card with the casual crafter in mind. This is a person that likes to craft when they have time and has a few supplies. They usually have a few embossing folders and punches along with some cardstock, paper and inks. I stepped up this version of the card by using a background stamp instead of Designer series paper on the background. To stamp the background I used the Festive Foliage Cling Background Stamp. I stamped it in Crumb Cake Ink on a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock.
Then I embossed a piece of Vellum Cardstock with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder. I cut the Vellum Cardstock down to a 1 3/4" x 6" strip and added it to the center of the background layer wrapping the two end around the Crumb Cake Cardstock Layer with Stampin' Seal+. The rest of the card design was kept the same as the Simple Stamped version.

Disappearing Nine Patch Card for the Avid Crafter:
After creating the simple and causal versions of this card I created the card for the Avid Crafter. This is someone that has to have everything. They craft a lot and have to have all the supplies they can get their hands on. They love to create projects with dies, fun folds, and tons of techniques that they love. So, I replaced the Festive Foliage Cling Stamp with the Christmas Pinecone Dies on the background. If you’re pining for the perfect backdrop for your seasonal greetings or projects, you will love these Christmas Pinecone Dies. Pair these large background dies with the Adhesive Sheets and you instantly have a crisp, elegant, die-cut images you can adhere to greeting cards. Just add a sentiment and some embellishments, or a disappearing nine patch block, then relish in all the oohs and aahs from friends and family.
Now for the snow on these snowflakes I used the leftovers from one of the sheets of Wonderful Snowflakes. The detailed pinecone dies will fit perfectly in the off cuts off the iridescent paper. I finished off this card by adding a bow made from the White 3/8'' (1 CM) Glittered Organdy Ribbon. This ribbon is very popular and has been on and off backorder since it came out. But the good things about backorders is you can still order it and it will ship to you once it comes in. I also switched out the Blushing Bride Cardstock on this card for Polished Pink Cardstock.
