Tips & Tricks:

I made a fun little Double Dutch Door Fun Fold card to share with you today, but unlike some of the Dutch Door Cards that I have seen online this only uses one sheet of Cardstock. To see how I made this fun fold card you can join me tonight at 8:30 pm CST (Tuesday, October 12, 2021) for a YouTube Live where I will make the Double Dutch Door Fun Fold from one sheet of cardstock. On the version I am sharing with you this morning I used two stamp sets. I used the Lovely You Stamp Set for the sentiment, and the hostess/host stamp set Seasons of Fun for the Halloween image that I colored using Stampin' Blends.

A Double Dutch Door card usually has three panels that open up. One typically opens from the top and two from the sides to show the inside of the card. If you do a Pinterest search or even a Google search you will find many variations. So, as with most fun folds there's many ways to do it. I designed this version to use only one sheet of cardstock as the base where most have two pieces with strange measurements and gluing and all that kind of stuff. If you follow me you know I love cards that are super easy but look hard, and this is one of them with this version. And it does fit into one of the Stampin' Up! Medium Basic White or Very Vanilla Envelopes.

For the outside of the card I used some of the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper to decorate it. This spooky but cute pack of 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper allows you to create cute handmade Halloween projects. This high-quality printed paper is excellent scrapbook paper, cardmaking paper, and much more. The Stampin' Up! artists created these designs while listening to spooky podcasts to set the mood for creating Halloween images, prints, and patterns. Some of these designs can be colored. Designed in traditional Halloween colors, the Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper will please both the little ones and the grown-ups! There's 48 sheets (6 each of 8 double sided designs) in each pack; so there's plenty to play with. And since the stamped image from the Seasons of Fun Host/hostess set are equally as cute it was the prefect match for my project today.

To color this cute little Halloween image I used Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends to color her pumpkin costume. I always start with the lightest shades first and build up to the darker shades. Then I come back with the lighter shade to blend everything together. You will find the full list of colors that I used below. Since this was a fun fold card I kept everything pretty simple. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and used one of the dies from the Hippo & Friends Dies to cut out the colored image.
