Simple Festive & Easy Christmas Card - Video Tutorial ~ Rick Adkins

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a fun little and easy festive Christmas Card to share with you today. I made this card last night during my YouTube Live. Where I shared some tips & tricks to help you make these simply festive and easy Christmas Cards this year. I used two of the stamp sets that are part of the one day stamp sale (Oct. 20, 2021) today. Here's a look at the card.

Tips & Tricks:

For this card I used the Festive Foliage Background Stamp and the Evergreen Elegance Stamp Set. Both of these festive finds are part of the Stamp Sale going on today. The Festive Foliage Stamp Set allows you to create gorgeous and festive card backgrounds. The open line art of the stamps is perfect for your favorite coloring techniques, such as watercoloring, color blending, and more! The set includes one greenery imagery perfect for any season or any type of cards.

You can see how I colored the line art images using a few different shades of green Stampin' Write Markers. For this card I used Just Jade, Old Olive, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, and a little Mint Macaron for the coloring. You don't have to do super massive complicated coloring with this background stamp, because the line images are smaller and already beautiful. When i have an image like this I find it better to keep the coloring simple. To get the best results you should always just KISS (keep it super simple) it.

The sentiment for the card came from the Evergreen Elegance Stamp Set as well as the sentiment and trees that I stamped on the inside of the card. Warm people's hearts during the Christmas season with the Evergreen Elegance Stamp Set. Perfect for cardmaking, tags, and more. This lovely set includes winter imagery, Christmas greetings, and friendship sentiments you will not want to miss. The sentiments in this set are the reasons I wanted to use this stamp set today. There were a few that I could have used that are part of the Stamp Sale but these sentiments just warmed my heart just like I know it will for those that you send a card made with this stamp set.

Video Tutorial:

To finish off the card I added a little Regals Designer Series Paper under the sentiment to tie in the other colors I used. I also added some glitter to each of the leaves with my Wink of Stella Clear Brush Pen. Which I is my favorite way to add glitter to any project. To add a little more bling to my simply festive Christmas Card I added a few Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels sprinkled around the card front.
