Happy Halloween Interactive Card - Frightfully Cute Bundle ~ Rick Adkins

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a fun little Halloween Card to share with you with a little surprise. I used the Frightfully Cute Bundle from the July-December Mini Catalog along with the Cat Punch from the Annual Catalog to create the card. Here's a look at the card.

For the background of my card I used the Faux Oxide Ink Technique. If you have not seen it or don't know what I am talking about you can find it in this video where I shared techniques using White Pigment Ink. It's actually a super easy technique to do.

Once I had the background complete I used the little star dies from the Frightful Tags Dies to cut out openings in the card front. I stamped the moon in Crushed Curry Ink and the witch in Tuxedo Black Ink and cut it out with the matching die from the Frightful Tags Dies. I then used a LED Light Kit to create the interactive part of the card. You can find these in a lot of places I have linked to what you need below the Stampin' Up! Supply List to the one that I used. I found a couple videos online to learn how to use the kit it really wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

The card front was added to the card base over the light up function of the card with Foam Adhesive Strips. I punched out a cat from Black Glitter Paper using the Cat Punch and placed over the place on the card to press to activate the lights. I thought that would be a great little area to add some more Halloween cuteness. I also added a little bow to the cat made from the Black & White Gingham Ribbon. I then added the sentiment with some Multipurpose Liquid Glue, and I popped the moon up on some Black Stampin' Dimensionals. To finish off the card I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels sprinkled around the sky so that they would catch the light.
