Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a fun shape card to share with you today. I used the Celebrate Sunflowers to create a fun Fall themed card to share with you with a fun hexagon shape. Here's a look at the card.
Tips & Tricks:
I stamped the small sunflowers from the Celebrate Sunflowers Cling Stamp Set in Bumblebee Classic Ink around the 5" x 5" Basic White Hexagon. I also added in some of the large leaf images in Old Olive Classic Ink and some of the small leaves in Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink on the same Basic White Cardstock panel. I then stamped the large Sunflower from the stamp set along with two sets of the large leaves in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then colored the leaves with the Old Olive Stampin' Blends Combo Pack, and colored the sunflower with the Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (the center), Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Combo Pack, So Saffron Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (petals), and the light Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blends from the Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (for the shadow areas on the petals which was colored first)
After I colored everything I cut out the colored stamped images with the dies from the matching Sunflower Dies and my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. After cutting it all out I started assembling the card. I layered the 5" x 5" stamped hexagon onto a 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" hexagon cut from Basic Black Cardstock. Next I cut a piece of Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper to 2 1/8" x 5" and attached it across the 5" x 5" Basic White hexagon with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
I then stamped my greeting in Versamark Ink and used white embossing powder from the Basic Embossing Powders and het set it on a 1" x 4 3/4" piece of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock. I finished off the card by adding the Sunflower popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals and tucked the leaves under it with a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue. To add a final touch and a little more texture I added a bow I made from the 1/4" Black & White Gingham Ribbon attached with a Mini Glue Dot.
