You're So Sweet It's Scary - Frightfully Cute Bundle ~ Rick Adkins

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a card using the Frightfully Cute Bundle and the retired Magic In This Night DSP which was on the clearance rack when I designed this card. Sadly the DSP has now sold out on the clearance rack, but you can use anything you have on hand. Here's a look at the card.

Tips & Tricks:

I started out this card by cutting the Basic Black Cardstock to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored and folded in half at 4 1/4" to make the A2 size card base. I then cut a piece of the Magic In This Night DSP to 4" x 5 1/4". I took my Blending Brushes and added some ink from my Pumpkin Pie, Highland Heather, and Flirty Flamingo Classic Ink Pads to the black and white paper. Don't be afraid to change your designer series paper up with ink blending, embossing, or any other technique to make it what you want.

Next I attached the now colorful spooky piece of designer series paper and attached it to the card base. I then wrapped some of the 3/8" Black Glitter Organdy Ribbon around the card base and tied into a flat knot. I cut three of the images from one of the pieces of the Silver Foil from the Silver Foil Speciality Pack using the Frightful Tags Dies. I die cut one of the spider webs, the tree, and the large tag from the set.

Use it with one of the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machines to cut a variety of eye-catching shapes and elements like I did today on my project and they will surely add an unexpected touch to all your paper crafts. You get 3 sheets: 1 of each finish that are 12" x 12" (30.5 x 30.5 cm). So, you have plenty to cut down to make small elements to add to your projects. They come with a textured and brushed finishes in Brushed silver, matte charcoal, and mirrored charcoal. The Charcoal color has a purple tint to them. Which made them work perfectly with the Highland Heather Ink on the card.

I cut the tag in half to make it a little larger for the card. I covered the seam where I cut it up with the moon which I stamped in Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink and used the matching die to cut it out. I stamped my sentiment in Highland Heather Ink onto a scrap of Basic White Cardstock and punched it out with the Everyday Label Punch. I added the moon and sentiment with a few Black Stampin' Dimensionals. Next I added the tree & spider web die cuts to the front with a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I trimmed the spider web down a little and added the rest to the inside of the card on a 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White Cardstock panel. Which I then finished off the card by adding the little spider stamped in Highland Heather Ink on the inside panel.
