Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share a fun little card using both the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper and the Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper (a level 1 Sale-A-Bration item). I paired these items with the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle and used two Stampin' Up! colors that closely matched the two Pantone Colors of the Year this year. Here's a look at my card.
I picked the colors for this project from both of the designer series papers. I decided on Basic Gray because it reminded me of a true hand-penned drawing. And the Daffodil Delight because it just popped with the Basic Gray. After the first two color choices were made it was super easy to figure out the other colors. I pulled them straight from the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper. This has always been one of my go to for fun color combinations. I colored the leaves with with Mint Macaron Ink to balance everything out.
Since the Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper has a lot of different values in it I decided to pair the Black & White Gingham Ribbon with my card as well. One it's my favorite ribbon and two it had both Black and White as does the designer series paper. And the artist in me knows that when you mix black and white you get a gray. Are you seeing the method to my madness yet? Everything works together because of the coordinating colors and the pop of Daffodil just makes the other colors sing and stand out.
