Hello and welcome to my blog; today is the first Friday of the month and it's the Blogging Friends Blog Hop. This month the hop theme was Fall Days Are Coming and I am sure that you will be inspired by what the others on the hop have created with some beautiful Fall themed products.

For my project this month I picked to work with some of the products from the NEW Harvest Meadows Suite Collection. I also threw in a little of the Linen Speciality Paper As well for a little extra texture and fun. Here's a look at my project.

Tips & Tricks:

I started out by cutting a piece of the Harvest Meadows Designer Series Paper down and placed it on my Thick Basic White Cards base. Next I cut down a piece of the Cork Speciality Paper (part of the Harvest Meadows Suite Collection) and then cut out a frame using my Rectangle Stitched Dies. I attached the frame to the card base with a little Multipurposed Liquid Glue. I can tell you that the Cork Speciality Paper with expand and contract when cutting so be aware of that. I mean it is cork after all. But man does it give a beautiful effect on a project.

Next I took a piece of the Linen Speciality Paper and stamped the floral image from the Nature's Harvest Stamp Set in Cinnamon Cider Ink and used the matching Harvest Dies to cut it out. I decided that I needed a little more color on the project so I used the left over Linen Speciality Paper and did a little ink blending with my Blending Brushes and Cinnamon Cider, Calypso Coral, Bumblebee, Misty Moonlight, and Soft Succulent Ink Pads. The texture of the Linen Paper took the ink blending beautifully and created a fabulous effect. I loved how it turned out. Almost to the point I didn't want to do anything else with the ink blended Linen Paper.

You can create texture for your projects with the Linen Specialty Paper. Stamp on it to create textured images or use it alone as a background or accent like I did today. The neutral color makes it easy to customize with stamping, sponging, or ink blending. I will tell you that this paper is adhesive backed has a wax type release paper on the back. That was the hardest part about die cutting it. The release paper released sooner than I wanted it to. Once the backing is removed it also has a little bit of a translucent effect to the paper. But, it's not bad at all, and if anything added to the luminance of the ink blending.

I used the ink blended paper to create some colorful die cuts of the other floral images in the Harvest Meadow Die Set. I attached them all right to the card base and cork frame without a problem. I then added the stamped image on top and made a bow from the 3/8" Diamond Weave Ribbon (also part of the Harvest Meadows Suite Collection) and attached it with a Mini Glue Dot. I finished off my card with a sentiment strip that I stamped the sentiment in Cinnamon Cider Ink and punched one end with the Treasured Tag Pick a Punch before adding it to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. To complete my card I added a few of the Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots in the Bronze color.
