Turtle-y Loved Easel Card - Facebook Live Replay ~ Rick Adkins

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share w with you the project that I made last night during my Facebook Live. I used one of my favorite bundles from the 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. I feel head over shell for this one when I saw it and had to have the Turtle & Friends Bundle. So, I had to create a fun little easel card to share with you today. Here's a look at my card.

Tips & Tricks:

This super cute easel card is very easy to create. I used a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Thick Basic White Cardstock as the base. I scored it at 5 1/2" and 2 3/4". I then added a piece of Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper attached to a Soft Seafoam mat layer. I picked the Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper because of the pattern that's on my card today. I thought it played nicely with the theme of the card and looked like tall vegetation that a turtle may go through.

I then stamped the turtle out line in Garden Green Classic Ink onto some Soft Seafoam cardstock. I stamped the shell in the opening in Garden Green also. I then used my Soft Seafoam Stampin' Blends to add some shadow detail to the turtle. I used the Color Lifter to soften the edge of the color. To add a little more interest and detail to the eye I used a white gel pen to add just a little white to the pupil.
