Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a super simple SIP card since it's Simple Sunday! Which means I am sharing a card for all my beginners out there or those that just want to make a simple card in a hurry. For Simple Sunday SIP Card we are using just stamps, ink, and paper (SIP) and this time we are using a punch as well. Here's a look at this weeks Simple Sunday Card.
The Stamp:
For this weeks Simple Sunday card I pulled out the Best Year Stamp Set. The Best Year Stamp Set is a great little sentiment only stamp set. If you follow me you know that I totally believe in a good sentiment set and it's one of the basic must haves if you are starting out in the stamping and crafting world. You can never go wrong with a good sentiment set.
Make greeting cards for events throughout the year with the sentiments in the Best Year Stamp Set. Stamp inside and outside phrases on the card. The Best Year Stamp Set is a red rubber cling stamp set with 11 cling stamps inside. You will want the suggested clear blocks sold separately from Stampin' UP! to get the most out of this stamp set: a, b, c, h. Cling Stamps from Stampin’ Up! are premium rubber stamps. They have deeply etched images for excellent detail. All cling stamps are precut so you don’t have to trim them. Cling Stamps cling to clear blocks without slipping hence the name LOL.
A few other features of the Cling style stamps are they are repositionable—temporarily mount on clear blocks to stamp, then remove to store. They save space—one set of blocks (sold separately) works for all your cling and photopolymer stamps. The case has images on the spine of the case for easy storage and quick reference to make your life easier.
The Ink:

To stamp my sentiment I picked the new Pale Papaya Ink Pad. Pale Papaya is one of our NEW 2021-2023 In Colors. In Colors are a selection of colors that complete the Stampin' Up! Color range and are all colors that are trendy, fun, and you will find them all over the place in home décor, fashion, and so many more places. I actually have a Pale Papaya shirt that I just picked up recently.

Stampin' Up!'s signature ink pads allow you to make a colorful impression with ink pads like the Pale Papaya Classic Stampin' Pad. The Classic Stampin’ Pads contain a fast drying, dye-based ink that is great for general stamping or for coloring techniques like watercoloring.
Classic Stampin’ Pads come in exclusive Stampin' Up! colors, grouped in collections (or what demonstrators call color families) to take the guesswork out of color coordination. Many of Stampin' Up!'s other products come in the same exclusive colors, so it’s easy to pair stamp pads with cardstock, markers, embellishments, and more!
The innovative ink pad design has a patented flip-top lid to keep the stamp pad inked during storage. The firm foam pads outlast felt pads and give you a superior stamping experience. The ink is acid free and refill available when you purchase the matching ink refill.
I stamped the sentiment from the Best Year Stamp Set onto a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock and used the Everyday Label Punch to punch it out. I attached the stamped sentiment to the card base with a few Stampin' Dimensionals.
The Paper:
The paper that we are using for this weeks Simple Sunday SIP Card is the plain old Basic White Cardstock. I didn't use the Thick for this card (which I normally would) but I wanted to show my Beginners that you can use just regular old Basic White Cardstock to make a card. I did this for a long time until we came out with Thick Basic White and Thick Very Vanilla Cardstocks. So, Don't think that you can not use just your Basic White for card bases if that's all you have. Plus starting out it's very economical to purchase the one pack of paper.

To add a little more color to the card I used five strips of the Hand Penned Designer Series Paper that you see above. With a range of delicate floral designs and neutral simple patterns, you will never run out of pattern pairings with this pack of designer series paper. The delightful Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper Pack is a perfect choice for spring projects, weddings, Easter, birthdays, and many more. For a SIP card it's perfectly okay to add in a little Designer Series Paper as well; I mean it is paper after all.
I took one sheet of the Hand Penned Designer Series Paper and cut it into 3/4" x 4 1/4" strips and weaved them onto the front of the card. I placed the first three strips where I wanted them and secured them in place with a Mini Glue Dot at the top of each strip of DSP (designer series paper). Next I placed the other two pieces and flipped them over to show the reverse pattern on the other side and placed a Mini Glue Dot on the ends. Next I weaved one piece around the other three pieces and added a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue under each strip to tack it into place before moving on to the next strip.
To finish off todays Simple Sunday SIP Card I used the Medium Daisy Punch and punched out two of them from some Pale Papaya Cardstock scraps that I had in my cardstock scraps and attached them both together to make a nice full little floral element for my card. I used my bone folder and carefully curved the petals down a little. I then took the retired 1/2" Circle Punch and punched out a center in Mint Macaron Cardstock and attached it to the center of the flower. This is a punch that I will never get rid of it's so useful for many things. I then simply added the flower to the front of the card popped up on a Stampin' Dimensional.
Thanks for dropping by today, I hope that you have a wonderful day I hope that you give Simple Sunday SIP Card a try this week; remember you can create beautiful projects with just a few supplies as long as you keep it simple with Stamps, Ink, and Paper. If you need any of the supplies that you have seen today you can pick them up in my online store.
Happy Stampin'
