Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a slim line card using the Pansy Patch Stamp Set and matching Pansy Petals Suite of products from the 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. Slimline cards are all the rage right now in the card making world, and I have a shared a few different ones over the last few months. I have shared some regular size slimline cards as well as a few mini slimline cards with you. So, when I got this suite of products I had to make one to share with you too. Here's a look at my card for today.
What in the Heck is a Slimline Card:
So, just in case you are wondering a slimline card is a card is a tall card that fits into a business size envelope. You will find that cutting your 8.5 x 11″ cardstock to 7 x 8.5″ and folding it in half is a perfect size for a #9 or #10 size envelope. These envelopes are the ones that you purchase at any big box or office supply store; you know the ones that you mail your bills in. When you cut your cardstock at 7 x 8.5, you'll have a 4.5 x 8.5″ piece of cardstock left over to make the base of your slimline card.
Besides the longer and shorter format all the layering is pretty much the same you still cut your layers a little shorter to make the mats and other items. But you have more room to decorate the cards. On todays card I added different size pansies stems, and leaves along with the sentiment.
The standard size of slimline cards is typically 3.5" x 8.5" (or 8.89 x 21.59 in centimeters). This size can vary slightly from card to card, but is generally meant to fit within a #10 standard envelope, which measures 4.125" x 9.5". So, now that that's all out of the way lets move on.
