Hello and welcome to my blog; todays card is for this weeks creative challenge over at The Spot Challenge Blog. This weeks challenge is a CASE the Designer Challenge I will have more details below. I used the Hydrangea Haven Bundle on my card today. Here's a look at my card.
CASE the Designer:
As I mentioned this weeks creative challenge is a CASE the Designer Challenge and we are casing the wonderfully talented Maheswari Rajagura. If you are unaware of what I mean by CASE it means to Copy and Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit. I picked one of Maheswari's Christmas cards to CASE today and I changed it to a more springtime card. Here's a look at the card that I CASEd and the challenge image for this week.

I took here design and changed the colors and stamp set that was used and created a Springtime card using the Hydrangea Haven Bundle. This is one of my favorite bundles from the catalogs. One reason I love Hydrangeas. So, it was a must have for me. I used Gorgeous Grape instead of Poppy Parade, but keep the layout and changed the Stitched Nested Label to a Stitched Rectangle instead.
I stamped the large Hydrangea in Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, and Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blends. I then used the matching dies to cut it out. I used Gorgeous Grape and Fresh Freesia Ribbons where she used the Silver Edged Ribbon and some cardstock. I did a little heat embossing for the sentiment and a flicked on some ink in the same colors as the blends to the stitched rectangle. I added everything to the card with Foam Adhesive Sheets, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, and Stampin' Dimensionals.
For the inside of the card I added a piece of Basic White to have a place to write a personal message. To add a little interest to the inside of the card I matted the Basic White layer to a piece of Gorgeous Grape. I also added a strip of Basic White that I added the same splatters of ink as the stitched rectangle. I also added a little strip of Gorgeous Grape behind this strip to tie in the Gorgeous Grape a little more.
