Hello and welcome to my blog; and the Creative Stampers Tutorial Bundle Blog Hop. This month the tutorial bundle theme for May was Masculine Themed projects. Each month we do a blog hop showcasing the same theme with alternative projects that we created using the same products we used in our tutorial.
For my project in this months tutorial bundle I created a fun fold card. So, for my alternative project for this month's hop I created a different fun fold card.
For this month's hop I created a Pop-up Corner Swing Card using the products that I used this month for my CSTB tutorial project. Here's a look at my project for this month's hop.
The great thing about the Pop-up Corner Swing Card is that it will fit in a standard A2 size envelope. And it's not as hard to make as you would think. I was super happy to find out it wasn't as hard as I thought. I had made one of these in the past but it just didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. Well, to be honest it helps if you put the adhesive in the right place to make the pop up actually work.
When the card is open it can sit up on a shelf and make a nice display piece for the person that received the card. To find out how to make the pop-up corner swing card I did a YouTube search and found a ton of different videos on how to make it. For my card today I used the Handsomely Suited Bundle, the matching Well Suited Designer Series Paper and a piece of Smoky Slate Cardstock.
This is what the card looks like from the front. I started out with a 8" x 8" piece of Cardstock and scored it down the middle at 4" and then turned it to the other side and scored it at 4". From there it's a matter of making placing the cardstock on the 6" score line from one point and lining the bottom point up and making another score line to the middle. Then it's some cutting and folding to make the pop up swing feature. Again I suggest doing a simple YouTube Search to find a how to video so it makes more scene.
When the card swings open the front panel actually comes down to the inside to reveal the inside message and make the card stand. The tricky part here is having the outside element in the window facing the right direction. So, that it looks right when closed and open.
When closed the card does fit in a standard A2 envelope. This month's tutorial bundle features 11 projects all with the masculine theme. To get the tutorial bundle there are two ways. One is to place any size order in my online store and I will send it to you as a thank you. Or the second way is to purchase it for $22 USD in my Online Tutorial Store. Here's a sneak peek of my project in this months tutorial bundle. I can not show you the entire card because its exclusive to the tutorial bundle.
