Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a card that I made recently using the Bold Emboss Resist Technique and paired the card front with the Hydrangea Haven Bundle and Many Messages Bundle. You may recall the other card that I made using this same technique last week here's a link to that post is you missed it. And here's a look at my card.
Bold Emboss Resist:
This is a super fun and easy technique using your clear embossing powder from the Basics Embossing Powders onto a piece of colored cardstock. I used a piece of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock to emboss the small hydrangea blooms from the Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set. Once the heat embossing was cooled I it's time for a little ink blending fun.
I took my Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad and my Blending Brushes and loaded the Blending Blush up with ink and placed it on some of the embossed areas of the cardstock. I then came in with some White Craft Pigment Ink and another Blending Brush and did the same thing. I took a paper towel and buffed off the extra pigment ink. You can do this as many times as you want to get the colored result you are looking for. If the clear embossing starts to look a little unclear; all you have to do is just reheat it with your Heat Tool until the clear embossing powder becomes shinny again.
I then cut the cardstock in half so that I could use it on two different cards. I attached the cardstock to a Basic White card base cut to 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2". I cut two strips of the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper to 1/8" x 4" and a piece of the Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate to a 1/2" x 4". I attached the acetate first with a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue butted up against the edge of the embossed cardstock. Then to cover the seams I added the two small strips of designer series paper over it. To finish off the card I stamped the large hydrangea and stem from the stamp set and filled in the areas with the matching watercolor stamps using Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apply Green Inks. I used the matching die to cut out the hydrangea and added it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added a few Pastel Pearls and a sentiment that I made using the Many Messages Bundle, that was heat embossed onto some Basic Black Cardstock.
