Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share a card that you can make for Mother's Day and I did a little no line coloring just for fun. I used the Wrapped Bouquet Bundle to create the focal point for my card today. Yes, it's been awhile since I shared a post; that's a whole other topic for another day. Here's a look at my card.
All Wrapped:
How many of you either send a bouquet of flowers to your mom or get flowers each year. Sadly they die in a short amount of time, and all you have left is the memory. Why not say it with a bouquet of flowers that stays beautiful. The Wrapped Bouquet Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! has sentiments for Mother's Day, love, and friendship. Plus the imagery is fabulous. I love that you get two sets of flowers in the stamp set. One being already wrapped up in the newspaper, and the other with just the top each having different floral images in each set so you can create the perfect bouquet.

Using the Wrapped Flowers Dies will allow you to wrap up a bouquet of flowers in die cuts you create. I love the die that allows you to create the wrap for the bouquets. Plus there's a matching stamp in the set that will allow you to stamp the newspaper on the die cut. Place the bouquet on a card or add it to scrapbook pages for extra dimension.
Color Outside the Lines Well kind of:
The thing about no line coloring is that you have to stamp the image you want to color with a very light ink. Then you have to use the shadows to create the depth and dimension in each image. For example with the flowers I started out by priming the flower with the lightest color. Then I came back and laid in the darkest darks and blended them out with the lighter color again. This allowed me to create some depth in the piece.

To finish off my card I added a bow wrapped around the paper wrap of the bouquet along with a Square Vellum Doily and a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to add a little shimmer. The color combination for this card came from this week's creative challenge over at the Spot. This week we are having a color challenge featuring the colors that I used today. Here's the inspiration photo for this week's challenge. You can click here to check out what others created using this color theme.
Thanks for dropping by I hope that you have a wonderful day and that you have fun playing along with this week's color challenge. If you need any of the supplies that you have seen me use today they can picked up in my online store by clicking on the items listed in the shopping list below.
Happy Stampin'
