Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a card that I made using the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and a little watercoloring. Here's a look at my card.
Celebrate with Sunflowers:
The Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set will allow you to honor and celebrate friendship with heartfelt sentiments and a stunning set of sunflower images that can be just stamped or take it over the top by using your favorite coloring technique. I picked watercoloring with my Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 as my color media of choice today. The Celebrate Sunflowers contains 8 cling stamps with both images and wonderful sentiments.
When you want to use any watercolor technique you want to use a waterproof ink like the Saddle Brown StazOn Ink. The Saddle Brown StazOn Ink Pad is permanent ink that is great for stamping images you want to watercolor or for stamping on Window Sheets (acetate), cellophane bags, and other nonporous surfaces. You can also use it to add a distressed look to your projects. Clean stamps with StazOn Cleaner after using StazOn ink. To protect the adhesive on cling stamp labels, rinse cling stamps with water immediately after using StazOn Cleaner.

I love the rich warm brown color of the Saddle Brown StazOn Ink Pad. And, if we are going to be completely honest I like it much better than the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad. I've had this ink pad since it came out a couple catalogs ago, but had not had the right project to use it on until when I sat down and designed my April Crafty Corner Monthly Club projects and today's card. And oh my I just wanted to know what in the heck I had waited to use it. It's such a beautiful color. Plus it turned out to be the perfect color for the sunflowers in the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set.

This second set of Watercolor Pencils will allow you to expand your Watercolor Pencils set with 10 additional Stampin’ Up! colors. The Watercolor Pencils are a high-quality, smooth color pencils perfect for watercoloring stamped images. For best results use with Water Painters, Blender Pens, or alone. Watercolor pencils work best on a substrate that is made for watermedia; such as Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, or Shimmery White Cardstock. I like to use the Shimmery White Cardstock the best; not that the Fluid 100 paper is bad. Because it's not bad at all, when I had my art studio at a old shoe mill before moving it home to the studio above our garage, this fabulous watercolor paper came out. I love it but I can't get past it using it for watercoloring paintings and not card making. It's such a wonderful high quality watercolor paper I just can't do it. I know that sounds silly.
