You Are Amazing Paper Blooms Candle Gift Box - Treat Week 2021 Day 4 ~ Rick Adkins

Hello and welcome to my blog; today is day four of Treat Week 2021. And, I have a super cute little project for you featuring the You Are Amazing Stamp Set and the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper. The Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper is a free Sale-A-Bration Item currently, and the You Are Amazing Stamp Set coordinates with the You Are Amazing Project Kit. So, for today's project I created a gift box that will hold one of the jar Candles from Target's Dollar Spot. Here's a look at my project.

You could use this gift box for something other than a candle if you wanted to. Its a good size box, the candle on the inside was 3" x 3 1/4" x 3". I think the sentiments in the You Are Amazing Stamp Set are great you have different fun designed sentiments that can be used for so many projects. I love a set that has something that I can use my 2" Circle Punch with and it fit so perfectly. Plus this gives you another reason to use the stamp set after you make the cards from the You Are Amazing Project Kit.

Tips & Tricks:

To create this box I had to use 12" x 12" Cardstock plus just a little extra to make it close. The 12" x 12" 2019 - 2021 In Color Cardstock wasn't quite large enough. It was just shy of another inch to be the perfect size, but thanks to a piece of scrap cardstock it worked out to be perfect. This box actually goes together quite easily as you will see in the video tutorial below.

For the lid of the box and the other layers I used some additional cardstock. With this version I used Night of Navy Cardstock as my accent pieces and for the Purple Posy Box above I used Basic White and Rococo Rose as the accent. For the Seaside Spray & Night of Navy version I used the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon to decorate, and for the Purple Posy & Rococo Rose version I used the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon. I added little accents of the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper and little flowers punched from the Small Blooms Punch with Basic Peral Centers.

Sizes & Dimensions:

Seaside Spray or Purple Posy Cardstock - 6" x 12", 3 1/2" x 1"

On 12" side score at 3", 6", and 9"
On 6" side score at 2 1/2#
with the 1" x 3 1/2" piece you are going to score at 1/2" down the middle.

Purple Posy or Night of Navy Cardstock - 5" x 5" scored at " on all four sides
Basic White or Night of Navy Cardstock - (4) 2 1/4" x 2 3/4"
Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper - (4) 2" x 2 1/2"
Cardstock scraps for 2", and 2 1/4" Circles and the small flowers
