Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a birthday shaker card for you today inspired by our blue willow dishes using the Jar of Flowers Bundle from Stampin' Up!. It's funny where we find inspiration for our projects sometimes. Here's a look at my card.
Yes I took inspiration for today's card from our very own dishes. I love the look of blues and whites mixed in different patterns. So, when I saw this one pattern in the Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper from the 2020 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog I was so excited. And I have been waiting for the perfect time to create a card using it. And with this week's creative challenge at The Spot was the perfect time/excuse.
Tips & Tricks:
To create my card I pulled my colors from this beautiful monochromatic piece of designer series paper. I decided to go with Misty Moonlight (which was the main color from this pack of paper) but I also pulled Seaside Spray to use also as the lighter blue color. If you swatch both the light and dark of both of these colors side by side you can see that they will work very well together to create a four color blend on the stamped images from the Jar of Flowers Stamp Set.

The Jar of Flowers Bundle:

The cut out image measures 2-3/16" x 1-3/8" (5.6 x 3.5 cm). When possible please please please order the cost saving bundle and save 10% off the price of both the items. Shake It Up!:
To create the shaker element of today's card I used the Jar Punch to punch out the opening on the small panel and the Mason Jar Shaker Domes. The Mason Jar Shaker Domes are can be filled with sequins, elements, or anything that suits your fancy. My favorite thing about these shaker domes is that they have adhesive on both the outside edge and the inside edge which makes them super easy to create shaker elements with. For my card today I used the Flowers for Every Season Gems as the filler, but I also used the clear ones as the center of the larger flowers on my stamped image.
I finished off my card by adding my sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set, and a bow I made using the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon. I attached the bow to the front of the Mason Jar Shaker Dome with a Mini Glue Dot. I popped the shaker panel up in the center of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
