Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a super cute and easy last minute Holiday treat & packaging idea for you. This is also my project for this week's Last Minute Santa/Gift Ideas over at the Spot. This project can be made in minutes and you can make a lot of them with just a few supplies. Here's a look at my project.
Last minute Christmas and Holiday Gifts does not have to break the bank when it comes to what you are giving. Remember it's about the thought and not the cost of the item. These would also make great little treats for a classroom as well. And the best part is they don't take a lot to create. This little treat hold three mini donuts. I used powered donuts for my treat package today.
Here's a look at this week's challenge image that inspired my project today. You can also find more last minute gift ideas from the other Spot Design Team Members created plus play along as well.
Tips & Tricks:
So, as I mentioned this is a super easy treat packaging idea to create. To start out you need a 6" x 8" Cello Bag from Stampin' Up!. You are going to take your Paper Snips and cut up the seams on the side and the bottom, making two clear pieces. On the inside of the half of the clear cello bag you are going to take it and put it on a piece of Grid Paper. Take the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blend and you are going to draw lines on the cello bag. Keep going until you fill it up.
Once the Cherry Cobbler ink dried on the cello bag, you can take a different color and create a plaid. You could pick a green if you wanted. The ink works best if you use the Dark Stampin' Blends. They show up better. I picked the Dark Mango Melody to create the plaid for my packaging today. Next, you can stamp on it as well if you use Stazon On Ink. I picked Christmas Cheer from Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set to stamp the sentiment along the Cherry Cobbler strip.
I then colored the Silver Metallic Edged Ribbon with the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blend to tie the ribbon into the treat packaging. At this point the treat packaging is done besides putting in the donuts. So, with that all you need to do is take 3 mini Donuts and place them on one edge of the Cello Bag. You need to hold the donuts and roll them up in the cello bag nice and tight. Once you get to the end take the ribbon and tie the ends close.
Once you get them wrapped up it's time to add the sentiment. I stamped the Have a Sugar Sprinkled Season form Itty Bitty Christmas in Cherry Cobbler Ink onto a piece of Whisper White and punched it out with a 1 1/2" Circle Punch. I then punched out a 2" circle from Cherry Cobbler and added the Whisper White Circle to the center with Stampin' Dimensional. I also attached the sentiment to the Donuts with a Stampin' Dimensional. And that my friends is all it is to this super cute little treat packaging.
