Friendship is Found In Simple Things - Enjoy the Moments Stamp - Set Sneak Peak

 Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a little sneak peek at a new stamp set from the 2021 January - June Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog for you.  Plus, my post today is for this week's creative challenge over at The Spot Challenge Blog.  I love color challenges they are so fun to inspire your creative juices and well get your mojo going if you are in a rut.  Here's a look at my card.  

This week's color challenge over at The Spot is a particularly fun one that will really get your creative juices going and can be taken in so many different directions.  The color challenge this week is all about creating a project with just Black, White, and a Pop of Color.  

Tips & Tricks: 

To start off with my card today I started with a Thick White card base cut at 4 1/4" x 11" and scored and folded it in half.  Next, I cut a piece of Basic Black Cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" and stamped poppy seed pod image from the Enjoy the Moments Stamp Set (which will be coming out on January 5th in the 2021 January-June Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog) in Versamark Ink.  I then covered the Versamark Ink with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool.  

I then cut a smaller piece of Basic Black Cardstock to 3" x 4" and stamped the same image and the sentiment that I used on the background layer in Versamark Ink and covered them both with embossing powder then heat set them with my Heat Tool.  I then used the Poppy Moments Dies from the 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog and some scraps of Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, and Basic Black cardstocks.  And ran them through my Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (also coming out on January 5th) and cut out the solid Poppy Die, the outline Poppy Die and the center of the poppy.  With the outline which was cut in Flirty Flamingo Cardstock, I added a piece of Adhesive Sheet behind it to make it easy to add to the die-cut.  No messy glue needed!  

I then layered all the pieces of the Poppy Die Cut together.  I added the center of the Poppy with half a Mini Stampin' Dimensional so that it would have a little lift to it.  I then placed the Poppy Die-cut on the embossed stem with the poppy seed pods with a couple Stampin' Dimensionals.  

To finish off the card I added the 3" x 4" piece to a 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" piece of White Cardstock.  And then added a few of the frosted droplets from the Frosted and Clear Epoxy Droplets.  I tied a bow with the Black & White twine from the Playful Pets Twine Combo Pack to the card front with a Mini Glue Dot.  

 

Sizes & Dimensions: 

• Thick White Cardstock - 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2"
• Basic Black Cardstock - 4" x 5 1/4", 3" x 4"
• White Cardstock - 3 1/4" x 4 1/4"
