Christmas Means More Christmas Cheer Christmas Card ~ Rick Adkins

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am sharing with you a card I made using on of my favorite Stamp Sets on the Giant Year-End Closeout Sale going on now! I am talking about the Christmas Means More Stamp Set!

I love the large sentiments and I am very sad to see it on the Year-End Closeout and not being carried over. So if you love this stamp set and have not added it to your order yet please do so before it's gone.

I also paired the stamp set which features different quotes from Holiday Movies with a little unexpected piece of Designer Series Paper on my card today. I used a piece of the Ornate Garden Speciality Designer Series Paper on my card. I know right you would not think to use this paper on a Christmas or Holiday Card but I thought the gold foil accents and Old Olive color were perfect.

I added the DSP to a piece of Gold Foil that I cut to size. I cut it to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8" and wrapped some of the Gold Trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack around it and tied the trim into a bow before adding it to the Old Olive card base. Next I stamped my sentiment in Old Olive Ink onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and used the Layering Square Dies to cut it and a scalloped square from Gold Foil out using my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.

I then layered the sentiment onto the Gold Foil scalloped square with Stampin' Dimensionals and attached it to my card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I finished off my card by adding a few of the Gilded Gems around the card to add just a little more gold accents to the finished card.
