Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you my project for this week's challenge over at The Spot. This week's challenge was a super fun one, and something that I love to do. This week's challenge was to create your own designer series paper (DSP). So to create mine I used the Cute Fruit Stamp Set from the Stampin' Up! Beginners Brochure. Here's a look at my card. Well actually one of the cards I created I actually made six cards since I made a 12 x 12 sheet of Designer Series paper.
I created six different cards since you can get six card fronts from one sheet of 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper I thought why not. So I went ahead and made all six. I changed up the colors on the card bases to match the colors I used stamping the Designer Series Paper. All I did was I started in the center and alternated each stamped image in the selected ink colors. To make it easy on myself I used the Classic Stampin' Spot Assortment that can be purchased along with the Cute Fruit Stamp Set or by itself. I love having Stampin' Spots because they are great for using with the Stamparatus and for on the go use.
I just kept turning my 12 x 12 sheet of Whisper White Cardstock until I had the entire thing filled with fun bright colored fruit images. I thought this would make some super cute cards that would make anyone smile. Once all the stamping was complete then it was time to turn this fun DSP into cards.
So for the card bases I picked the coordinating cardstock colors that matched the Classic Stampin' Spot Assortment except for Basic Gray. I used Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana. To make them look just a little different but all have the same feel I used all the sentiments in the stamp set and either punched them out with different punches or used just sentiment strips on the cards. Here's a picture of two of the other card designs I made.
When you combine juicy fruit and happy smiley faces you differently will get bright and fresh projects. Thanks for dropping by today. I hope that you will play along with us this week and give creating your own DSP a try. You can see the challenge image below and if you click here you can play along.
You will find a full list of all the supplies that I used below in the shopping list. I hope you have a wonderful day.
Happy Stampin'
