Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you a Christmas Card today. Yes, you read that correctly I am sharing with you a Christmas card: And yes, I know it's the middle of Summer and hot as hell here in the South, but Christmas is only 163 days (just about 4 1/2 months) away. Which means that some people are starting to think about their Christmas cards and I wanted to share a cute design with you before all the hustle and bustle get underway. Plus some people need that little extra time to make their cards. And yet some need to be smacked in the face now that its time to start thinking about making their cards soon before they end up at December 20th and haven't made them yet and are rushing around like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to get them made and in the mail and delivered before Christmas Day. Here's a look at my card. If you want to get a jump start on your Christmas Cards you can join my Christmas Card Club for the remaining four months and have 32 cards ready to send out before December starts click here to join.
This is a super easy card but does involve a little coloring. I used the new stamp set Lots Of Cheer: Which by the way was the stamp set that I featured this month in my New Christmas Card Club which as started. I had a lot of fun designing this card. I started out by stamping the bell wreath in tuxedo black ink and then coloring it with my Stampin' Blends on a sheet of Whisper White Cardstock cut at 4 x 5 1/4. I used Mango Melody Light and Dark for the bells and Real Read for the bow. I added a wash of color in the background using my Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends and the Color Lifter.
I added a strip of Real Red Gingham Designer Series Paper from the Regals 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Pack that I cut at 1" x 5 1/4. I also added a small 1/2" x 4" strip to the inside of the card to tie everything in. I stamped my sentiment in Real Red ink on a 1/4" x 5 1/4" strip of Whisper White Cardstock and added it to the front of the card. Making sure to add it where the designer series paper and overlaid the cardstock. This helped to hid that transition line. My card base by the way is Soft Sea Foam that measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 to make a Landscape top folding card. I dressed it up a little with some of the Real Red Rhinestones and that was it.
I told you this was a super easy card and actually once you have everything stamped and cut can go together quickly. Thanks for dropping by today. If you need any of the supplies you have seen today you can pick them up in my online store 24/7 by clicking on the Shop with Rick button below, the shopping tab at the top of the page or by clicking on the item in the Shopping list below.
