Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am going to share with you my card for this month's Blogging Friends Blog Hop. This month our theme was Summer Lovin'; and I must confess that every time I say or type it I think of GREASE. But, that's not where I went with this month's theme. I went just a little different. I came up with a super cute card that is just adorable. I used my favorite new stamp set Over the Moon. Yes, that was my one must have stamp set when we could order it. I was so excited when it was on the preorder for demonstrators, because I was not able to order it when I got my catalog in April it wasn't part of the products we could order. It gives me the same feeling as the Little Piggy set did. And I am so happy to own them both. Here's a look at my card and I will stop going on about it.
Tips & Tricks:
See I told you this was a super cute card. I used the Love What You Do Stamp Set to stamp the cow skin pattern on the base of the card. By the way the card base is a piece of Thick Whisper White cut at 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2, and I turned it on it's side to make a side opening card. I then took a piece of Whisper white and stamped the two cows in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them in using my Stampin' Blends. As far as what colors I used was Basic Black light and Smoky Slate dark to color in the cows spots. I colored the mouth with Petal Pink light and dark blends, and their hooves with Smoky Slate light and dark. For the cows bodies I used Balmy Blue light and dark on the one on the left and Purple posy on the one on the right. I used Granny Apple Green, and Flirty Flamingo for the flower and grass as well as the heart in the little speech bubble. The sky was colored using Seaside Spray Light and dark and the color lifter.I matted the colored piece on a piece of Basic Black cardstock and then used a little strip of basic black and versamark to stamp the sentiment. I heat embossed the sentiment in White Embossing Powder, and popped it up using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I popped the Cow image up on Stampin' Dimensionals also.
On the inside of the card I stamped the third cow in Tuxedo Black ink. I like the use of just the outline image on the inside in juxtaposition to the colored outside. I think this gives a fun contrast to the entire card.
